I am a Professor at EPGE FGV Brazilian School of Economics and Finance. Most of my research is in public finance with a focus on the optimal design of distributive and social insurance policies. Recently, I have turned my attention to understanding how different policies affect the intra-household distribution of power, an issue for which practice seems to be moving ahead of theory.
