Desktop software for Windows for the automation of a one-dimensional cutter machine by solving the cutting stock problem with the solution of an Integer Linear Programming model with owns algorithms and communication with a S71200 PLC for the sequencing and automation of the cuts.
First, it is necessary to solve the cutting stock problem. The measurement of the material to be cut is entered, as well as the measurements of the required cuts and their number of units.
Before solving the problem, it is possible to configure the model as required.
If a solution is found, it is possible to begin the automation of cuts.
PROFINET communication with the PLC must be stablished before.
The sensor is adjusted and the cutting point is moved to the minimum point.
The cutting sequencing consists of the positioning of the cutting point according to the accumulated cuts required by a pattern. In this example the positions in mm are:
-1500
300
600
800
1000
