CarLogLite (“the App”) is designed to help users record information about their vehicle, including maintenance, mileage, and expenses. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your data. This Privacy Policy explains what data is collected, how it is used, and how it is stored.
1. Data We Collect
CarLog does not collect, transmit, or store any personal data on external servers.
All data you enter in the App (vehicle information, mileage, expenses, maintenance records) is stored locally on your device only in the internal Android database.
2. Storage of Data
App data is stored in the internal storage database of your device.
You can export your data:
as PDF — saved in your Documents folder.
as JSON — saved in your Download folder.
You can import data from a JSON file stored on your device.
2.1 Android System Backup
The App may use Android’s built-in backup mechanisms to create a backup of locally stored app data. Such backups are associated with the user’s Google account and are used solely to restore the app data on the same or a new device.
The developer does not have access to these backups and does not collect or process this data.
3. No Data Sharing
The App does not:
send your data to external servers,
share your data with third parties,
use analytics or tracking tools.
4. Permissions
The App may request:
Storage access (optional) — to export or import your data (PDF/JSON). This permission is used only for saving and loading files and never for accessing unrelated files.
6. Children’s Privacy
CarLog is not intended for children under 13. We do not collect any personal information from children.
7. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy if needed. Updates will be reflected in this document within the App or store listing.
