Privacy Policy — CarLog

CarLog ("the app") is a vehicle-management application developed by Albert Moczadło ("we", "us"). This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: CarLog is an offline-first app — your data stays on your device and is never sent to us or any third party.
1. Data we collect
We do not collect, transmit, store on our servers, sell, or share any personal data. CarLog has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no backend service. All information you enter — vehicles, fuel-ups, costs, repairs, documents, reminders and parking locations — is stored locally on your device in a private database and never leaves it.
2. Device permissions
The app may ask for the following permissions, used only on your device for the feature you choose:
- Location — to save where you parked your vehicle. Your location is stored locally and is never transmitted.
- Camera and photos — to attach photos to vehicles or documents. Photos are stored locally on your device.
- Notifications — to remind you about inspections, insurance renewals and services. Reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
- Storage — to save the local database and attached photos.
You can grant or deny these permissions at any time in your device settings; denying a permission only disables the related feature.
3. How your data is stored
Your data is kept in a local database on your device. Because the data is local, it is protected by your device's own security (screen lock, encryption). Uninstalling the app removes all of its data.
4. Sharing
CarLog never shares your data automatically. If you choose to use the "share" feature (for example, to share a vehicle's technical summary), the content is sent only to the app or person you select, through your device's standard sharing dialog. Nothing is sent to us.
5. Children
CarLog is intended for adult drivers and is not directed to children under 13.
6. Changes to this policy
If future versions of CarLog add features that transmit data off your device (for example, optional cloud backup or synchronisation), this policy will be updated and you will be informed within the app before any such feature is enabled.
