World History
Welcome to 7th grade World History
In this class you will students will study the social, cultural, and technological changes that occurred in Europe, Africa, and Asia in the years A.D. 500–1789. After reviewing the ancient world and the ways in which archaeologists and historians uncover the past, students study the history and geography of great civilizations that were developing concurrently throughout the world during medieval and early modern times. They examine the growing economic interaction among civilizations as well as the exchange of ideas, beliefs, technologies, and commodities as well as the resulting growth of Enlightenment philosophy and the new examination of the concepts of reason and authority, the natural rights of human beings and the divine right of kings.

Class Expectations
All students are expected to remain open minded and respectful of all opinions and ideas in this classroom even if you do not agree.
No cell phones are allowed to be used during class time unless specified by your teacher
Students must complete all classwork by the end of the day
Students will use the class websites, google classroom and remind to stay connected with each other, the teacher and their class.
Student must remain on-task and ask questions when needed as we will need to move along and cannot spend too much time on any one activity
Challenge your minds to think critically about the world around you.
Classroom Rules
PROMPT: Be on time , enter the classroom quietly and have all supplies and materials ready to go before class starts.
PREPARED: Bring all necessary work and materials to class everyday.
PRODUCTIVE: Stay on task, follow any and all directions while staying in your seat unless given permission to get up.
POLITE: Be respectful of yourself, your classmates, your school and your teacher. KAHFOOTY!!!
PATIENT: Raise you hand, wait respectfully and calmly for your turn to speak.
Reminders
It is every students' responsibility to keep their student agendas up to date. The weekly agenda is up in the classroom and on google classroom
Students will work out of their unit notebooks everyday and must keep it with them at all times. These will be graded everty Friday.
Students who are absent need to check google classroom to see what they missed. Any missed assessments will need to be made up at lunch.
Tutoring is offered T/Th @lunch and after school Tuesday from 2:50-3:15 by sign up only
