Welcome to the Carlisle Elementary School Library!
The mission of the Carlisle Elementary School library is to empower every student to become a confident reader, critical thinker, and lifelong learner. We are committed to providing a welcoming, inclusive space where all children have access to diverse, high-quality resources and meaningful learning experiences. Through collaboration with teachers, families, and the wider community, we support literacy, creativity, and a love of learning in every child.
Carlisle's library houses a large collection of printed books, as well as a collection of ebooks students can access at anytime, whether at home or at school. Students may check books out of the library between 7:50 and 2:30, Monday-Friday.
Our library's catalog can be found here.
Mrs. Grant
My name is Heather Grant and I have been the librarian here at Carlisle since 2014, and with the Etowah County School System since 2010. Reading is my passion and I hope to share that passion with my students. I received my Bachelor of Arts in English from Jacksonville State University in 1998 and my Masters in Library and Information Studies from the University of Alabama in 2009. I live in Guntersville with my husband, Mitchell, our three teenagers, and the ruler of our home, our cat, Chip. I also have an adult son. Aside from reading in my spare time, my daughter and I are very involved with Theatre of Gadsden, and also love seeing shows, whether locally, or in our favorite place on earth, New York City.
