I have always had a passion for understanding human behavior and its drivers.
Asking fundamental questions on these topics brought me to studying Philosophy at King’s College London as an undergraduate. While undertaking my bachelor's degree, I primarily focused on Logic, Language, and Metaphysics. Through this training I learnt to think critically, identify underlying assumptions in statements, and to formalise them. While booming with ideas and questions, I lacked the quantitative methods to address my curiosity.
For this reason, I started a second bachelor's degree in Mathematics at ETH Zurich. During my time there, bloomed an inclination for Behavioral Economics, which I cultivated by reading general-interest books.
This field combines my passion for topics such as beliefs and preferences with a quantitative and scientific method of inquiry! This realisation led me to withdraw my studies and pursue Behavioral Economics academically with a master's degree at the University of Zurich.
I come from Catania, Sicily. Fun facts:
It is right next to the tallest active volcano in Europe: the Etna
The Etna is active, so sometimes you can see lava eruptions and it rains vulcanic black sand.
Catania was submersed by lava multiple times, leading to a stratification of various architectural styles.
Common attractions: pillow-lava rocks, a roman amphitheatre, a norman castle, and our local fish market "a fera"
