Brief Biography

Dr. García received the B.E. degree in Electronics and Telecommunications Engineering from the Escuela Politécnica Nacional (EPN), Quito, Ecuador, in 2016. She received the M.S. degree and Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Ulsan, South Korea, in 2020 and 2023, respectively. She was award with the Korean Brain scholarship to do her Master and PhD studies. She was a Research Assistant and Postdoctoral Researcher at the University of Ulsan in the Multimedia Communication Systems Laboratory. She is currently a Research Associate at the Interdisciplinary Centre for Security, Reliability and Trust (SnT) at the University of Luxembourg. In October 2024, she also joined Texas A&M University at Qatar as a Visiting Researcher with the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, located in Doha, Qatar.

Her research focuses on wireless resource optimization through the application of artificial intelligence algorithms and mathematical methods. Her current work spans a diverse set of categories, including machine learning, evolutionary computing algorithms, energy harvesting techniques, physical layer security, satellite communications, non-terrestrial networks, mobile edge computing, non-orthogonal multiple access, rate-splitting multiple access, reconfigurable intelligent surfaces, and radio environment map construction.
