Specific openings for postdoc and PhD positions will be posted on this page when available.
If you are interested in joining our research group, below are a few opportunities. Please get in touch if you wish to discuss further, including a CV and a brief motivation.
We can support outstanding candidates in applying for postdoctoral fellowships such as the ARC DECRA (see information from UQ here) or other funding schemes (see here and here for an overview).
1 postdoc opportunity available: 1x postdoc funded by the Queensland Quantum Decarbonisation Alliance (joint with Prof Ben Powell and in collaboration with CSIRO), apply here by 24 August.
Prospective students can apply for a UQ Graduate School scholarship (including Research Training Program), with different rounds and deadlines for domestic and international applicants (note that a much smaller number of scholarships are available for international applicants). All information can be found here.
Domestic students who identify as women or non-binary persons may also be eligible to apply for an Elevate scholarship.
International students from selected countries may be eligible to apply for an Australia Awards scholarship.
Other specific opportunities will be advertised here when available.
Possible Honours and Masters projects are advertised on Carla's UQ page*, but other projects can be discussed with interested students, so please get in touch.
*The list might not always be up to date.
Second- and third-year UQ students can do research in our group via the Summer and Winter Research Programs (see here) or capstone projects (as part of PHYS3900).
Third-year students may also be eligible to apply for an AMSI Summer Research Scholarship.
If you want to find out more about what we do, get in touch with Carla.
We are always happy to host visiting researchers coming to UQ.
There are also a few selected UQ global mobility and funding opportunities, listed here.
