Technology is without doubt, linked to the processes of teaching and learning languages in the 21st Century. It is present not only in traditional classrooms but also in online foreign language instruction, hybrid and distance learning. In that sense, one of the key courses of the MAFLT program was Teaching Languages with Technology lectured by Dr. De Felice.
During the course, we had a close look at different software, apps, and socially mediated networks, and we also developed online tasks.
For my e-portfolio, I have chosen an example of how to integrate technology items and devices in a traditional lesson. Those tools are TOONDOO and Audacity. The first one is an app to create cartoons and the second one is an app to record and edit audio. These two apps and the learners' Ipads allowed me and my students to create new materials and to share them in the class' blog.
Below, you will find the lesson plan, the cartoon and the audio I created.
Ilustrations get students attention and may increase their interest in the topic.
By creating cartoons, students summarize information and organize concepts that should be in a logical order to tell a story.
It is fun to read and create a cartoon.
This is a short interview from my blog SúperSpanishPro. In this post I interview a 15-year old Dani, who has just came back from México. He had an amazing experience there when he celebrated el Día de los Muertos.
