Caridad Estrada is a second-year Ph.D. student in Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) and Materials Science at Princeton University. She currently serves as the DEI Chair for the Graduate Student Government (GSG), where she has dedicated the past year to enhancing community engagement and student support. In this role, Caridad has personally planned and executed 10 events and provided active support for over 23 additional events, fostering an inclusive and vibrant graduate student community. As a member of the events board, she approves and facilitates student access to funding for initiatives across all divisions.Â
Caridad works at the Keller Center Makerspace, where she combines hands-on teaching with mentorship to empower students in their creative and technical pursuits. Additionally, she co-proposed and co-created a Python Learning Skills Program for graduate students spanning the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, bridging gaps in technical literacy and collaboration.
