We have cancelled our booking for this Caribbean cruise and instead booked a 10 day cruise to the Southern Caribbean in February/March 2022.

The COVID-19 pandemic made a major impact on cruising in 2020 and 2021 and will most likely change how many things are done on future cruises. This website will be updated with these changes as they occur. Items that have changed or things to consider due to the Covid-19 pandemic are highlighted in gray on this website similar to this section.
You can view some of the health and safety protocols that Princess Cruises is initiating by visiting the Cruise Health page on this website or visiting the Princess Cruise CruiseHealth™ page for more detailed information. We will NOT be taking this cruise, or others, until we are confident that the Covid-19 pandemic, or any other future health issues, allow cruising to be enjoyed in a safe and enjoyable manner.
Whether you are a first time cruiser or a seasoned veteran cruiser, we hope that this website can offer you some guidance to make this, and future cruises, more enjoyable, safe, and cost effective as possible. While it may be fun to discover all of this information on your own, you may overlook some items which may end up costing you time and/or money in the end. This website is packed with information to help you plan and enjoy this nautical vacation by giving you access to a variety of things you may want to consider or encounter on this cruise.
This cruise is being planned for February, 2022 on the Princess Cruise ship "Sky Princess". There are actually three cruise itinerary options to consider on this cruise! We are planning on taking a 14 day cruise, which is essentially two 7 day cruises going back to back (B2B). You are welcome to join us for the first or second segments, or join us on both segments!
The Eastern Caribbean leg (February 19 - February 26) will be a new adventure for us and we look forward to visiting new islands and the extended sea days it offers.
The Western Caribbean leg (February 26 - March 5) will allow us to revisit some of the great port of calls we have seen our our previous two cruises.
The information we are including on this website is garnered from cruising websites such as Cruise Critic, Cruzely, the Princess Cruise website, Tips for Travelers, and personal observations we have encountered on our cruises. While we are hardly veteran cruisers, we do like to do our research and are happy to share what we have learned with our friends!
While a cruise may seem expensive, it offers you the opportunity to travel to many exotic ports, eat, be entertained, pampered, eat, relax or be active, eat, and enjoy times with friends. Did I mention you could also eat? It is truly a unique vacation experience!
What do we love about cruising?
Being at sea. For us, one of the best things of cruising are the sea days. The experience and pace of life with a series of sea days is amazing. You truly can unwind and relax, as it is so peaceful. You unwind and relax like you never do on land.
Get to see places that can be hard to see by land. Some of the smaller Caribbean islands and areas may be difficult to otherwise visit.
Region Taster. It is great to get a taste for a number of places in a region and then decide which island or area you may want to go back and spend time at and really explore. For example, it can be hard to decide which Caribbean island or area you want to commit to going to for 1 to 2 weeks. But if you go on a cruise you may see 5 or 6 islands or areas, explore for a day, and decide where you want to invest more time and money in the future.
People. Very friendly and a sense of community. People are more chatty and friendly as they a have a shared interest and focus – much more than on land based vacations.
Diversity of things to do – all within a short walking distance. A cruise ship is a one stop total city experience where everything you want is within a few hundred feet and a huge range of activities to indulge in. Fine dining. Broadway Style Shows. Variety of dining venues. Shops. Lectures. Fitness center. Spa etc. Nearly everything you could imagine.
Variety. For people that prefer not to stay in one place a cruise means you can see many places without the hassle of packing and unpacking, changing hotels etc. You wake up each morning someplace new!
If you're new to cruising you may want to first refer to the glossary of cruise ship terms to become familiar with the nautical and cruise ship jargon used throughout this website.
If you have additional questions they may also be answered by reading through the Cruise Answer Book created by Princess Cruises. This booklet should be very helpful in answering many of the questions you may have as a first time cruiser.
If you want more information about a particular topic please let me know and I will try to update the website!
Princess Cruises Referral Rewards program allows their Members to sign up friends and relatives as new Princess guests and they will give them cruise credits towards their next booking. Not only that, but they'll do the same for their referrals!
The rewards offered are $25 of onboard credit per person, up to $50 per booking. The new customer must sail within 24 months of being referred. Referrals must not be currently, or have previously booked or sailed with Princess, must not have been nominated by another Member, or be 'known' by Princess (by requesting a brochure or registering at princess.com). Referrals must also be successfully made prior to new customers making a booking in order for the discount to apply.
If you would be interested in being offered this reward, please let me know your email addresses. I will send the referral request into Princess so we all can make use of this free reward.
