Objective Of Samunnathi Scholarship

In our society, those students belonging to the backwards and reserved categories are not given preference for further studies, and this leads to underdevelopment in their society. In response to this, the state government of Kerala has created the Samunnathi Scholarship Scheme. This program will improve the educational status, living conditions, and livelihood of the economically backward sections of forwarding communities. The main objective of this scheme is to create empowerment and comprehensive development among nonreservation forward communities.

Schedule Of Scholarship

Students selected to apply for the Samunnathi Scholarship must submit their application forms by the deadline, 30th October 2021. Scholarships are only offered to deserving and meritorious candidates from Kerala who belong to the economically weaker sections of the forwarding communities. By providing this opportunity, nonreservation forward community students will be able to complete their higher education and therefore improve their standard of living and their educational status.

Eligibility Criteria

Samunnathi Scholarship applicants must meet the following criteria in order to qualify

  • Candidates must be permanent residents of Kerala

  • The applicant must belong to a non-reservation forward community

  • Family income should not exceed Rs. 2 lakh per year

  • Former recipients of this scholarship are ineligible to apply for this scheme this year

  • To apply for the scholarship, the candidate must choose their coaching centre

Samunnathi Scholarship: Coaching Assistance

Scholars selected under the Samunnathi Scholarship will receive the following coaching assistance

  • The state will provide financial support to selected students

  • Coaching for civil service exams, banking exams, PSC exams, medical entrance exams, engineering entrance exams, etc.

  • The government will award Rs. 10,000 to 840 students who are pursuing higher secondary education

  • Those pursuing professional courses such as medicine and engineering

  • The candidates who wish to take the competitive exams of Bank UPSC MPSC will receive financial assistance of Rs. 6,000.

  • The preliminary examination will be rewarded with Rs. 15,000

  • The main exams will be rewarded with Rs. 25,000

  • The interview will be rewarded with Rs. 30,000
