Introduction:
Special Education students have long been receiving Individualized Education Plans (I.E.P.) to address their special needs to place them in optimum spacial and structural educational environments. Why limit I.E.P.s to special education students? With today's ubiquitous resources and my training and experience, EVERYONE should have access to such a tool for their educational engagement. So, I developed the following product for EVERYONE:
D.E.P. Tools (are based on your identified, individual strengths and needs)
40 Developmental Assets and Generational Assets- age dependent
Gallup Strengths assessment and support tools: StengthsExplorer, StrengthQuest, or StengthsFinder 2.0.
Learning Styles-Personalized learning styles (reading, auditory, visual, and kinesthetic)
Multiple Intelligence (Verbal-Linguistic; Logical-Mathematical; Visual-Spatial; Auditory-Musical; Bodily-Kinesthetic; Interpersonal; Intrapersonal; and Naturalistic)
Knowledge, Skills, Talent, Passions-Clarification of individual’s abilities and development strategies.
Goal Setting- Identification of Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART) for an individual
Personal Style, Character, Spirit-Individual personality formed during formative years (0-5yrs)
Needs (are conditions for individuals to optimize their strengths)
40 Developmental Assets identified by an individual’s age
Top 5 Strengths & Needs identified by Gallup Strengths assessment and support tools
Self Efficacy (Confident Vulnerability) based on strengths strategies.
Individualized Goal Setting designed to be Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant, and Time-bound (SMART)
Individualized clarification of spatial and structural optimum conditions both agile and adaptive.
Individualized application to all areas of a person’s wellness (mind, body, spirit)
D.E.P (Differentiated Engagement Plan is designed to target and individual educational/life goals) resulting product includes the following:
Conducted using computer Computer Supported Collaborative Learning (CSCL) and Responsive Teaching Cycle (RTC)
Individualized blended approach both online and in-person
All above tools and assessments
(1-3) Planning sessions w/ a Certified Strategic Strengths Coach (Paul DeCunzo)
Completed Kelly Swag Academy D.E.P. Profile to be used for individualized goal achievement
