Working through options pricing theory at a deeper level and eventually building models that connect to what I want to do in algorithmic trading and global markets. But a Coursera course is not the finish line. It's the starting point.

I’ve learned so much, especially about how Cartier prioritizes customer relationships and curates exceptional customer experiences in every detail, from the iconic gift-wrapping art to personalized boutique services. The launch of the Cartier Student Voyage Program is also such an inspiring initiative, and I’m excited about the future opportunities in the luxury industry.

These events have helped me build meaningful connections and even led to internship opportunities. I learned firsthand from senior professionals about their expectations, the skills that matter, and how students can better prepare for real-world challenges. The conversations were candid, insightful, and motivating.

Over the dinner with my mentor Chuan Yue and co-mentee Zoe Wang, I got to nerd out on psychometric assessments and compare our CliftonStrengths results. The discussion helped me see how focusing on strengths (not only fixing weaknesses) can guide better career decisions. A huge thank you to Ms Chuan for generously sharing her experience and career advice.

Stepping into a simulated interview environment, even a practice one, is always a learning experience. The most significant takeaways for me were the importance of structuring my answers clearly and managing time effectively to express my opinions. It's initiatives like these that truly bridge the gap between academia and the professional world.

I’m getting used to post here as regularly as on IG. So yesterday, I decided to boost my motivation to posting by joining a “How to Craft Engaging Post Workshop” organised by CareerLink School of Business and Dr. Bernie Wong . Was glad to gather some useful tips and inspiration for a today’s small step - this post!

Honored to be inducted into Beta Gamma Sigma (BGS), recognising top performing business students worldwide. Throughout my studies, I have developed a strong foundation in financial reporting, auditing, and corporate governance, with a growing interest in how accounting practices support transparency and long term value creation. Thank you to the HKBU School of Business, CareerLink School of Business, my professors, mentors and peers for their continuous support.

It was an inspiring experience to step inside a global tech company and get a firsthand look at the tech industry giant in action. The visit included an insightful career sharing session, where we learned practical tips on career preparation, building real world experience, and standing out in today’s competitive job market. This visit was both eye opening and motivating, and definitely encouraged me to think more deeply about how technology and AI can shape my future career.

This immersive session was more than just learning which fork to use—it was about refining my professional presence in high-stakes settings. Understanding Western dining etiquette isn’t just about formality—it’s about respect, cultural awareness, and building trust with some clients. This workshop reminded me that professionalism is holistic, and elegance is a skill worth cultivating.

I really enjoyed a 2-hour conversation with Angela and Hayley. At this stage of my journey, the discussion helped fill in many important gaps and gave me greater clarity on my direction. From the current marketing landscape in HK and the integration of AI in marketing, to their candid job search and career growth experiences, the insights shared were highly practical and valuable.
