About Career Closet
What is Career Closet?
Career Closet is a student-led initiative that provides free professional clothing to individuals preparing for interviews, new jobs, internships, or career-related events. We thrive because of generous volunteers, donors, partners, and community members like you.
Donations
What types of clothing do you accept?
We accept new and gently used professional attire, including:
Blouses, button-downs, and tops
Dress pants and slacks
Skirts and dresses
Blazers, suit sets, and jackets
Shoes (closed-toe, heels, flats)
Accessories (belts, scarves, ties, jewelry)
Bags and briefcases
All items should be clean, in good condition, and ready to be worn.
Where can I drop off donations?
For the privacy and safety of our student team, we do not publicly post our drop-off address.
If you’d like to donate clothing, please email us, and we will share the drop-off details.
Do you accept partnerships or bulk donations?
Yes! We welcome collaborations with:
Schools
Clubs
Non-profit organizations
Community groups
Businesses
Partnership opportunities include:
Hosting a clothing drive
Donating bulk clothing or supplies
Tabling at a pop-up closet or event
Providing career development workshops
Offering in-kind services (cleaning, alterations)
Are monetary donations accepted?
Yes. Financial contributions help us:
Purchase high-need clothing
Buy hangers, racks, and storage supplies
Cover transportation or event materials
Maintain an organized, accessible closet
All donations are tax-deductible through Hope Avenue’s 501(c)(3) nonprofit status.
Please include “Career Closet” in the memo or notes section so your contribution goes directly to our program.
Receiving Clothing
How can I receive free professional clothing?

Do you offer delivery?
We currently do not deliver to individuals because our team is made up of students.
However, if you are affiliated with a partnering organization, we can deliver directly to the organization’s office.
