Students are invited to apply to join the CARE Lab. Areas of research interest include: nonlinear control theory, rehabilitation robotics, and autonomous systems.
PHD Students
Funded Ph.D. positions may be available starting the Fall 2024 semester.
Necessary Requirements:
A B.S. or M.S. in mechanical engineering or a related field.
A passion to pursue research in nonlinear control theory for applications such as autonomy or rehabilitation robotics, among others.
Strong written/oral English capabilities.
A strong academic record.
Preferred:
Research experience related to control theory, robotics, and/or artificial intelligence.
Strong programming background (e.g., Matlab, ROS, PyTorch, OpenAI, etc.)

B.S. or M.S. Students
The CARE Lab is excited to work with B.S. and M.S. students that meet the below criteria.
Necessary Requirements:
Pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in mechanical engineering or a related field.
Interest in at least one of the following:
Research in control theory, robotics, or rehabilitation.
Building robotic or rehabilitative devices.
Performing experiments to validate control designs.
Publishing technical papers.
