Welcome to CardLockr ("we," "us," or "our"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and providing you with a secure experience. This Privacy Policy explains how CardLockr handles your information when you use our mobile application (the "App").
Our core privacy principle is simple: Your data is yours. CardLockr is designed from the ground up to be a private and secure place for your information. We do not collect, store, or have access to the personal and financial data you store within the App.
CardLockr is a local-only application. This means that all the information you enter into the App, including but not limited to credit card numbers, debit card numbers, expiration dates, CVV codes, cardholder names, and any related notes, is stored exclusively on your device.
We do NOT collect, store, transmit, or have access to:
Any personal or financial information you save in the App.
Your device's unique identifiers.
Your location data.
Any usage analytics or crash reports that could personally identify you.
Since your data is never uploaded to our servers, we cannot access, view, share, or lose it.
CardLockr uses your device's native biometric authentication features (such as Apple's Face ID/Touch ID or Android's BiometricPrompt API) to secure your data.
Here’s how it works:
The App requests authentication from your device's operating system (iOS or Android).
Your device's secure hardware handles the biometric scan and verification.
The operating system only tells our App whether the authentication was successful or not.
We never have direct access to your biometric data (your fingerprint or facial scan). All biometric information remains securely stored within your device's dedicated security chip (e.g., the Secure Enclave on Apple devices).
Your security is our highest priority. All data you store in CardLockr is encrypted and stored in a secure, private container on your device's local storage. This data is protected by multiple layers of security:
Device-Level Encryption: The data benefits from the full-disk encryption provided by your mobile operating system.
App-Level Protection: Access to the App and its data is protected by your device's biometric authentication or passcode.
Because your data is not stored on any external server, you have complete control and are not exposed to the risk of a company-wide data breach. The security of your data is tied to the security of your physical device.
You have complete and exclusive control over your data. At any time, you can:
Access: View your data within the App.
Modify: Edit or update your card information.
Delete: Permanently remove your data by deleting the card entries or by uninstalling the application.
When you delete information from the App or uninstall it, the data is permanently removed from your device.
CardLockr does not integrate with any third-party services for analytics, advertising, or data processing.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices or for other operational, legal, or regulatory reasons. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the date at the top of this policy and, if required by law, by providing a more prominent notice (such as an in-app notification).
