CardBindr ("CardBindr," "we," "us," or "our") is operated by Akshat Rawat. This Privacy Policy explains how CardBindr collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use the CardBindr mobile application (the "App").
You may use CardBindr with a guest account or sign in with Apple or Google.
Guest accounts use a generated identifier and do not require you to provide your name or email address.
If you sign in with Apple or Google, we receive an account identifier and information that you authorize the provider to share, such as your email address or name.
If you choose a profile username, we store that username. Usernames may appear with feature requests and comments that you post in the App.
To provide the App's collection-management features, we store information such as:
binders, cards, quantities, card condition, custom themes, and collection organization;
portfolio-value snapshots and collection statistics;
your selected currency and visual preferences; and
custom binder-cover images that you choose to upload.
Some settings and collection data are also stored locally on your device.
CardBindr requests access to your device camera so you can scan cards. Camera frames are used to identify cards. CardBindr does not upload live camera video as part of the normal scanning process.
If you voluntarily submit a scan-error report, we may collect the scanned card identifier, your correction, and an associated card image when available. This information is used to investigate and improve scan accuracy.
If you purchase CardBindr Pro, Apple processes your payment. We do not receive your full payment-card details. We use RevenueCat to manage purchase status and entitlements, which may involve purchase identifiers, subscription status, and an App user identifier.
If you submit a feature request, comment, upvote, scan report, or support email, we collect the content you submit and related account identifiers. Approved feature requests, comments, usernames, and upvote counts may be visible to other users.
When you use online features, service providers may automatically receive technical information such as your IP address, device and browser information, request timestamps, and diagnostic logs. We also record operational information such as card lookup results, price-history records, free-scan usage, and App feature statistics.
We use information to:
provide card scanning, search, binder management, collection valuation, and portfolio-history features;
create and maintain guest or signed-in accounts;
synchronize collection data and restore cloud backups;
process CardBindr Pro entitlements and enforce free-scan limits;
display and moderate community feature requests, comments, and upvotes;
investigate scan-error reports and improve card identification;
maintain security, prevent abuse, troubleshoot issues, and improve the App; and
respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information.
We share information only as needed to operate the App, comply with law, protect rights and safety, or complete a business transaction such as a merger or acquisition.
The App uses the following service providers and third-party services:
Apple: App distribution, Sign in with Apple, and in-app purchases
Google: Google Sign-In, if you choose to use it
Supabase: Authentication, database storage, cloud backups, file storage, and server-side functions
RevenueCat: Purchase validation and CardBindr Pro entitlement management
TCGdex: Trading-card catalog data, card search, images, and related metadata
PokéWallet: Trading-card catalog data, card images, and related metadata
ExchangeRate-API (open.er-api.com): Currency conversion rates
When the App requests card data, images, or exchange rates from third-party services, those services may receive technical request information such as your IP address.
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the App, maintain security, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements.
You can delete your account from the App's profile settings. Account deletion is intended to remove your account and associated cloud data, including cloud binders, themes, and uploaded covers. After deletion, the App may create a new guest account so you can continue using basic features. Information may remain temporarily in backups or logs where permitted by law.
Deleting the App from your device does not automatically delete cloud data. Use the in-App delete-account option or contact us at support@cardbindr.com.
Depending on your location, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information.
You can:
decline camera access, although card scanning will not work;
use a guest account instead of signing in with Apple or Google;
avoid submitting optional scan-error reports, custom binder covers, feature requests, or comments;
manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple App Store account; and
delete your account in the App's profile settings.
For privacy requests, email support@cardbindr.com. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. However, no transmission or storage system is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
CardBindr is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required by local law to consent to data processing. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us at support@cardbindr.com.
Our service providers may process information in countries other than your own. Those countries may have different data-protection laws. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
The App may display data or links from third-party services. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We encourage you to review those policies.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy and revise the "Last updated" date. If required by law, we will provide additional notice.
