Hong Kong Carcassonne Online Championship and WTCOC selection
Introduction
The Hong Kong Carcassonne Online Championship (HKCOC) is an annual tournament to crown the Hong Kong Carcassonne Online Champion as well as to select the Team Hong Kong for international competitions. It is created for Carcassonne players of all abilities in which, above all, to encourage healthy competition between people who share the desire to have fun.
Platform: This tournament will be played on Board Game Arena

Format
8 round Swiss (1 round each week)
Each round is best-of-3 games (Stops when one player gets 2 wins. If a game ends in tie, the player who is not the first to play tile wins)

1 vs 1

30 mins (Each player has 15 mins)
Eligibility
Players must be Hongkongers in order to participate.
Requirements
Each player needs to have an account on boardgamearena.com (premium or not). A player may only use 1 account for the competition.
Each player must join Carcassonne Hong Kong.
Each player must register by filling in the registration form.
Each player agrees that their games can be live-streamed with commentary .
Each player agrees that their real name can be mentioned by game-streamers and that the name of the winner will be published on the website.
Each player is expected to play all of their duels.
How does it work
Each round consists of one week. Every Monday the organiser will publish the pairing of the current round. Then both players of a duel should schedule to play their duel and notify the organiser of the day and time that they will play before the end of Friday. After their duel, the result should be reported to the organiser. The reporting should be before the end of Sunday of the same week, so that the organiser may prepare the pairing of the next round on Monday.

The Winner of the Championship will be the "Hong Kong Carcassonne Online Champion", and get all of the accompanying proud and eternal fame. GREAT!
The top 10 of the Championship will be guaranteed a place in Team Hong Kong for the next World Team Carcassonne Online Championship (WTCOC).
Team Hong Kong
The top 10 of the Championship will be guaranteed a place in Team Hong Kong in WTCOC.
If any player(s) can't join the team, the place(s) will be given to the next ranked player(s) in the Championship.
During the WTCOC, each team member will need to provide their availability for the week of a match on or before the Saturday of the previous week. We will try to let every member play in at least one of the matches. Otherwise, priority will be given to players who ranked higher in the HKCOC.
