This Privacy Policy explains how Carbridge: YouTube Player ("Carbridge," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") handles information when you use our iOS application (Bundle ID: com.tubelite.player).
Carbridge is built for privacy-focused, on-device use. We do not operate a user account system and do not run developer servers to collect your personal library data.
1. SUMMARY
• No advertisements
• No sale of personal data
• No analytics SDK, ad SDK, or tracking SDK integrated in the App
• No developer server collection of your watch history, playlists, or bookmarks
• Local on-device storage for app library data and settings
• Purchases handled by Apple StoreKit
• YouTube playback handled by YouTube when you choose to play a URL
2. INFORMATION WE DO NOT COLLECT
Based on the current App design and source implementation, Carbridge does NOT intentionally collect, store on developer servers, or sell:
• Name, email address, phone number, or mailing address (no in-app registration form)
• Precise location data
• Contacts, photos, microphone recordings, or camera captures
• Advertising identifiers for ad targeting
• Cross-app behavioral profiles for marketing analytics
• Your watch history, playlists, bookmarks, or playback data on our servers
We do not require you to create a Carbridge account.
3. INFORMATION STORED LOCALLY ON YOUR DEVICE
To provide app functionality, Carbridge stores certain data locally on your device only, including:
• Watch history metadata (video identifiers/titles you opened in the App)
• Playlists you create
• Bookmarks and timestamps you save
• Playback position and playback preferences
• App settings (appearance, speed, toggles, etc.)
• Cached thumbnails to improve library browsing performance
• Onboarding completion state
• Pro purchase entitlement flags (product identifiers confirmed via StoreKit)
This information remains on your device unless you delete it (for example, Clear History in Settings) or uninstall the App.
We do not sync this local library data to a developer-operated cloud backend.
4. NO DEVELOPER SERVER DEPENDENCY
Carbridge does not rely on a developer backend to:
• Create or authenticate user accounts
• Host or deliver YouTube video files
• Sync your library across devices
• Push content updates to your personal history/playlists from our servers
• Operate social, chat, or community features
Feature availability depends on your device, iOS version, network connection, and third-party services (Apple, YouTube).
5. YOUTUBE AND INTERNET USE
When you paste or open a YouTube URL and tap Play, the App loads YouTube's embedded player using the official YouTube IFrame Player API. This requires an internet connection.
Important clarifications:
• Carbridge does NOT download or save YouTube video files to your device.
• Carbridge does NOT host or stream video from developer-owned servers.
• Playback is initiated by you and delivered by YouTube's services subject to YouTube's terms and privacy practices.
YouTube/Google may process technical data related to playback under their own policies. We recommend reviewing:

Carbridge is not responsible for third-party data practices.
6. IN-APP PURCHASES (APPLE STOREKIT)
If you purchase Carbridge Pro, payment and transaction processing are handled by Apple through your Apple ID. We receive purchase entitlement information needed to unlock Pro features (such as transaction/product validation through StoreKit), but we do not receive your full payment card details.

Manage subscriptions:
Settings → Apple ID → Subscriptions
Restore Purchases is available in the App upgrade screen for eligible prior purchases on the same Apple ID.
Carbridge Pro unlocks app features only. It is not a separate data service subscription.
7. ADVERTISING AND TRACKING
Carbridge does not display ads and does not integrate third-party advertising networks.
The current App implementation does not include analytics SDKs or tracking SDKs for advertising purposes.
8. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY
Carbridge is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through a developer-operated account system because no such account system is provided.
Parents and guardians should supervise use of online video services, including YouTube, which may have age-related restrictions.
9. DATA SECURITY
Because library data is stored locally on your device, security also depends on your device passcode/biometric protection, iOS security updates, and physical access controls.
No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of information stored on your device.
10. DATA RETENTION AND DELETION
Local app data remains on your device until you:
• Delete individual history entries or playlists in the App
• Use "Clear History" in Settings
• Remove app data by uninstalling Carbridge
• Reset your device (which may remove all local app data)
We do not retain copies of your local library data on developer servers because we do not collect that data centrally.
11. YOUR RIGHTS AND CHOICES
Depending on your region, you may have privacy rights regarding personal data. Because Carbridge does not operate a central account database of your library content, most controls are available directly in the App and iOS settings:
• Manage local history/playlists/bookmarks in the App
• Clear history in Settings
• Manage purchases/subscriptions via Apple ID
• Uninstall the App to remove local data

12. INTERNATIONAL USERS
If you use Carbridge outside your home country, local laws may apply. YouTube and Apple services may process data in accordance with their own global infrastructure and policies.
13. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last Updated" date at the top will reflect the latest revision. Continued use of the App after updates means you accept the revised policy.
