STEM Racing is an international STEM competition that engages student teams in designing and manufacturing small-scale model cars using CAD/CAM design tools and the official F1 Model Block. These cars are propelled by CO₂ cartridges and compete on a track secured by nylon wire. The competition aims to inspire and nurture young talent by providing a hands-on learning experience that emphasizes teamwork, innovation, and practical application of science and engineering principles. Participating teams not only design and build their cars but also manage project elements such as marketing, sponsorships, and presentations, mirroring real-world business practices. This multifaceted approach helps students develop a wide range of skills, preparing them for future careers in engineering, technology, and beyond.
