Device & app data
Device model, OS version, app version, language, and basic diagnostics/crash logs

If you allow location, we use approximate location to show nearby listings/deals. You can use the app without enabling location, but results may be less localized.

If you enable alerts/notifications, we may process device notification tokens to deliver notifications you request. You can disable notifications in your device settings.
Advertising, analytics, and Meta/Facebook SDK
Caralyze may use third-party advertising and analytics tools, including the Meta/Facebook SDK, to measure app installs, app launches, purchase or subscription events, and advertising performance. These tools may collect or process information such as device identifiers, app interaction data, app event data, and purchase/subscription-related events.
We use this information to understand the effectiveness of our advertising, measure and improve marketing campaigns, analyze app performance, and help improve Caralyze. This data may be linked to your device or account and may be used for tracking purposes as described by Apple’s App Tracking Transparency framework.
On iOS, Caralyze may request permission to track activity across other companies’ apps and websites. You can allow or deny this permission through Apple’s App Tracking Transparency prompt or through your device settings.
Identify vehicles, show pricing and market insights, and power features like alerts
Operate, secure, and improve the app (analytics, diagnostics, and anti-abuse)
Process subscriptions and manage access to premium features
Communicate important updates (e.g., changes to terms, service notices)
Photos/VIN scans are used solely to deliver app features. If cloud processing is used for recognition, the content may be sent to a processing service strictly for that purpose and retained only as long as needed to complete the task.
We rely on legitimate interests (app functionality, security, improvement), contract (providing requested features), and consent (e.g., location permissions).
We do not sell personal information. We may share information with:
Service providers (only what’s needed to provide the service), such as:
Google Play Billing / Apple In-App Purchase (handling purchases)
RevenueCat (subscription management and entitlement validation)
Crash/diagnostic and analytics tools (to improve stability and performance)
Meta/Facebook SDK (advertising measurement, app event analytics, install attribution, and marketing performance)
Vehicle/listing data providers and APIs (to return search results and vehicle information)
Other disclosures:
Law enforcement or regulators if required by law
In a merger/acquisition, data may transfer as part of the transaction
We keep data only as long as necessary for the purposes above or as required by law. Diagnostic/crash data may be retained to improve quality.
Permissions: You can disable camera, photos, location, and notifications in your device settings (some features may not work without them).
Access/Deletion: Email us to request access or deletion of your data. We may verify your request as required.
Opt-out of analytics: If provided in-app, toggle off analytics/diagnostics; otherwise contact us.
Caralyze is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your country). We do not knowingly collect data from children.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.
If we transfer data across borders, we rely on appropriate safeguards (e.g., contractual clauses) where required by law.
We may update this policy from time to time. We’ll update the “Last updated” date and, when required, notify you in the app.
