Electric vehicles are great in theory but you may want to consider these points when you purchase yours. Electric cars use lithium ion batteries. These are made by gaining lithium from mines in third world countries. Moreover if one of these batteries fail which is more frequent than you may think, its almost impossible to fully extiguish the flame as it reegnites itself due to the chemical nature of the battery. In the UK alone there were 54 fires caused by EVs in 2019. They may be great to use as commuter cars, but should not fully replace the combustion engine we think.
