Established in 2015, Capybara operates as an innovative creative working unit, facilitating design work, research, and artistic exploration within a strong network. Its dynamic nature is evident in its collaborations with diverse individuals and institutions, serving as partners and collaborators. Presently located in Jakarta and Bali, Capybara's use of the term "working unit" underscores its distinctive approach to design methodologies.
An experienced architectural designer and 2015 graduate of Diponegoro University, actively engages in collaborative projects across sectors and institutions. His experience as a community architect at the Rujak Center for Urban Studies strengthens his interest in urban issues, while his role as Chairperson of the Rame Rame Jakarta Foundation emphasizes his commitment to strengthening the local community. He also has experience supporting local artists such as Irwan Ahmett and Tita Salina in some exhibitions such as their exhibition in Istanbul Biennale, as well as collaborating with Architects Sans Frontières (ASF) on a project such as kampung cooperatives sponsored by the Asian Coalition for Housing Rights (ACHR), SELAVIP, and JRMK. Involved in projects that integrate art with public spaces, Barda also provides support to several architecture studios as a working partner, with a commitment to creating inclusive, sustainable, and enriching environments for communities.
