ANZAC Day, held on April 25th each year, is a national day of remembrance in Australia and New Zealand, honoring the soldiers who served and sacrificed in wars, conflicts, and peacekeeping missions. It marks the anniversary of the ANZAC landings at Gallipoli in 1915.

The Capricorn District Youth Council (DYC) supports ANZAC Day by encouraging Scouts to participate in dawn services, parades, and wreath-laying ceremonies. The DYC promotes respect and remembrance by organizing Scout involvement, ensuring young people understand the significance of the day, and fostering community engagement through service and reflection.
