Welcome to the official website of the Capital City (CC) Junior Classical League! We are a chapter of the Junior Classical League in Tallahassee, Florida. Our club was formerly known as the Tallahassee Classical Conversations Latin Club.

The purpose of this website is to record the achievements of this JCL chapter and its members, alert members of upcoming events, and make their JCL experience as memorable as possible.

JCL is great for people who love the Latin language...and for others as well! We have activities related to language, mythology, history, literature, and more. We compete in written academic contests, in creative arts, in graphic arts, in Olympika and Ludi (sports and games), and in Certamen (a kind of quiz bowl where the questions are focused on classics-related topics). We also have social activities and service projects, and we just generally have fun together.

The Junior Classical League, or JCL, is an association of students who love the classics - be they interested in the ancient cultures, the history of Rome or Greece, classical mythology, or the Latin or Greek languages! Capital City JCL is a local chapter of the National Junior Classical League (NJCL), within the state's division of NJCL called the Florida Junior Classical League (FJCL).
