Community Service

Every year, the Capital City Baseball team helps the JC Optimist Club unload and set up real Christmas trees that they sell every winter as part of a fundraiser for their organization. The JC Optimist Club is a community focused organization dedicated to helping the youth.

Every Spring/Summer, the Capital City Baseball team volunteers to be a "baseball buddy" to assist area school-aged kids with physical and developmental disabilities or other conditions that keep them from participating in regular baseball leagues. The players help with fielding, batting and running the bases.

Throughout the school year, some of our players volunteer to be Unified Partners and go assist our school's Special Education classes as they participate in events such as flag football, basketball, and track & field.
