This privacy policy governs your use of the software application Capital: Personal Finance Vault ("Application") for mobile devices, created by the developer.

Capital is designed as a privacy-first, offline-first, and zero-knowledge financial tracking tool. We believe your financial data belongs solely to you.

1. COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL DATA

Capital is an offline application.

• No Personal Information Collected: We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email address, phone number, or physical address.

• No Account Registration: You do not need to register an account or log in to use the Application.

• No Third-Party Tracking: The Application contains no trackers, analytic suites, or advertisements.

2. LOCAL DATA STORAGE AND ENCRYPTION

All transaction logs, budgets, savings goals, and configurations are stored locally on your device.

• Military-Grade Encryption: Your financial database is locally encrypted using SQLCipher and secured with a custom vault passcode and/or device biometric authentication.

• No Cloud Backups: We do not host cloud databases. Backups are created manually by you as encrypted files. You are responsible for keeping your backup files and passwords secure.

3. CAMERA AND VOICE DATA

• Camera Capture (Receipt Scanning): The Application requests camera access solely to extract transaction details (merchant, date, amount) from physical receipts. We do not store receipt images or upload them to any servers. The analysis is performed strictly on your device.

• Voice-Activated Expense Logging: The Application requests microphone access only when you press the voice button to record an expense. Voice recognition is processed locally on-device to translate your speech into transaction inputs.

4. ON-DEVICE AI INSIGHTS

All financial insights and smart assistant features are processed locally on your device using on-device AI capabilities. Your financial data, queries, and conversations with the assistant are never uploaded, shared, or analyzed by us or any third parties.

5. ACCESSIBILITY SERVICE GESTURES

To enable quick launch capabilities, Capital includes an optional Accessibility Service:

• Purpose: This service is used solely to detect physical volume key press gestures (e.g., double-pressing the volume keys) to open the Application.

• No Monitoring or Logging: The accessibility service does not monitor, read, log, or transmit any on-screen text, user inputs, or keystrokes. It only intercepts volume key events to trigger the application shortcut.

6. CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

Since we do not collect any personal information, the Application does not gather any data from children under the age of 13.

7. CHANGES TO THIS PRIVACY POLICY

We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. Any updates will be reflected on this page with an updated "Last Updated" date.
