Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve

The Four Mile Cove Ecological Preserve is a beautiful 365-acre natural area in Cape Coral, second only in size to one other preserved green space. The preserve is located just north of Veteran's Parkway and features a walking trail, visitor center, Veterans Memorial Area, and seasonal kayak rentals. While kayaking is popular, visitors should note an 800-foot portage along the kayak trail, making this activity unsuitable for beginners. Additionally, children under six are not permitted in the kayaks. However, visitors of any age are welcome to walk through the preserve on the boardwalk. The preserve is home to various wildlife, including eagles, ibis, herons, raccoons, and snakes. Be sure to stop by the visitor's center for information on programs, local wildlife, trail guides, and the location of the nearest facilities.
