About FIRST

FIRST (For the Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) is the world's leading robotics organization for elementary through high school, with several different programs for various age groups. FIRST aims to teach kids a love of robotics and technology and encourage them to pursue STEM fields.

FTC (FIRST Technical Challenge) is a program within FIRST for 7th-12th grades. Within FTC, there are multiple regions for various areas around the world. CAOS is in the San Diego FTC region, one of the most competitive in the world.
