Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Do solar screens make my house darker?
Inside your home, you'll notice less glare and heat, but you'll still be able to see outside during the day. Most homeowners quickly adjust and appreciate the added comfort.
Will solar screens reduce my electric bill?
Many homeowners experience lower cooling costs because solar screens reduce the amount of solar heat entering the home, helping air conditioners run less often.
Can you replace my existing solar screens?
Yes. We can replace worn-out mesh, repair damaged screens when possible, or build brand-new custom solar screens.
Do solar screens provide privacy?
Yes. During daylight hours they make it much more difficult for people outside to see into your home while allowing you to see out. At night, when interior lights are on, this effect is reduced.
Why do you use Phifer SunTex 80?
We use Phifer SunTex 80 because it offers an excellent combination of durability, heat reduction, UV protection, and visibility. It's one of the most trusted solar screen fabrics in the industry and performs exceptionally well in Southern Utah's climate.
Can you replace the mesh in my existing solar screens?
Yes. If your existing solar screen frames are still in good condition, we can often replace just the mesh with new Phifer SunTex 80 fabric. If the frame is damaged or worn out, we can also build a completely new custom-fit solar screen.
How long do solar screens last?
High-quality Phifer SunTex 80 solar screens are built for long-term durability in Southern Utah's harsh sun. With proper care, they can provide many years of reliable performance while maintaining their appearance and effectiveness.
Looking for maximum airflow instead of sun protection? Our standard window screens are another excellent option.
