What are the key difference between Canvas Club's classes and other children's art classes?
Adult approach: We teach the adult way—we don't underestimate their abilities and always let them try. And if the result turns out kiddish? We embrace and appreciate it.
We enrich both left brain & right brain: We want learning to be a joy. With art as our core focus, we cultivate that joy in every child, seamlessly integrating vocabulary, general knowledge, and 3D forms into a fun and enriching experience.
Small Group lesson: We believe in the power of small classes, which is why we cap our groups at just 4 children. Through years of teaching, we've found this to be the sweet spot for creating the best possible learning experience.
Multilingual Support: Lessons are conducted in English by default, supported in Cantonese and Mandarin when necessary.
What are the benefits of small group lessons?
Small group lessons offer a unique set of benefits that balance social interaction with personalized attention:
Peer Learning & Collaboration: Children learn from observing and interacting with their classmates. This shared environment can spark new ideas, inspire creativity.
Healthy Competition: In a small group setting, friendly competition arises naturally—without excessive pressure. This motivates children to challenge themselves, remain engaged, and celebrate their progress together with peers.
Increased Engagement: The dynamic energy of a small group often makes lessons more fun and motivating. Activities like games and group discussions can keep children more engaged than they might be working alone.
Social Skills Development: It provides a natural setting for practicing communication, cooperation, and empathy. Children learn to work as part of a team, share materials, and appreciate different perspectives. Children who are naturally shy often feel more comfortable opening up in a small group setting.
Balanced Attention: While not 1-on-1, small groups still allow the instructor to give each child meaningful individual guidance and support, ensuring no one gets left behind.
Affordability: Group lessons are typically more cost-effective than private instruction, making quality learning more accessible.
What do I need to prepare for the lesson?
The starter kit lesson bag has everything they need; just need to ensure they have the bag with them for every lesson.
Students are required to remove their shoes in the studio. We recommend wearing socks during class.
Am I required to fix a regular schedule for the classes?
It is necessary to fix a regular schedule for group classes; for higher flexibilities, you can consider 1-on-1 Lessons and Home Lessons.
