Local transportation

TRIUMF House and TRIUMF are located on the UBC campus northwest of the YVR airport.

A taxi from Vancouver airport (YVR) to the UBC campus takes ~20-30 min and costs C$36 (flatrate): Taxi fare zones from YVR. Uber or Lyft are available in Vancouver and sometimes cheaper - if you get one at the airport.

Public transport from the airport to TRIUMF House is available via Skytrain (CanadaLine) and Express Bus R4 or #049 and takes ~50min. The cost is $7.75 ($2.75 plus $5 add fare) and can be paid via tap-to-pay (contactless Visa and Mastercard credit cards and Apple Pay, Google Pay, and Samsung Pay), or you can buy a blue reloadable CompassCard.

On UBC campus there are plenty of options for breakfast and dinner, and TRIUMF is a 20min stroll away from TRIUMF House, or a 5min bus ride with #049 from across the street.
