Well...I decided to finally give it a try!
In the winter of 2026, my daughters bought me a GoPro for my birthday. I had no excuse to continue NOT filming my canoe trips. So armed with my new GoPro and an older, lesser-quality camera, I set out on my first trip with the intention of capturing it on video. For those who haven't tried before...IT ISN'T EASY!
Clearly, I have a lot to learn about video content creation (and speaking into a camera!). My first attempt at it was a post-iceout trip into Algonquin to revisit the Welcome Lake Loop. The weather was not kind to me. Click on the link thumbnail below to give it a gander:
