Degree Specific Objectives for Advertising Arts at UAT
This section goes over the degree objectives required for an Advertising Arts degree at UAT, as well as examples with their respective class listed alongside them. Feel free to review this, and thank you for visiting!
The many projects where logo or brand design that can be seen are great examples of this. This can be located and looked at further through the Behance link provided.
Milkish Shakes - Food Truck assignment for Advanced Asset Creation
This assignment was a fun one, as I was able to create a food truck brand that opened up more of who I am as an artist.
Heat - Fragrance Brand concept done for Advanced Asset Creation
This fragrance brand concept was a decision based on a strange time in my life when it was being made, and gives off an angry vibe for me, personally.
Wingman - Clothing brand assignment done for Advanced Asset Creation
Wingman was done, unintentionally for a close friend that has since passed, but became even more of a reason to keep making it after the rest of their family tragically passed as well from a plane crash, leaving only the mother. This brand is more than just outdoor wear on the surface, but a message to those who are struggling with loss and depression. A symbol of a wingman always being by your side.
Pizza Rink - Restaurant concept done for Advanced Asset Creation
I like this brand, as it reflects a small part of my childhood within, and was done out of a nostalgia kick.
Lume - Tech brand done for Advanced Asset Creation
For this assignment, we had to come up with a tech brand that was meant to be innovative as well. I chose to go with an all in one RGB software that actually controls every lighting peripheral properly.
Demon Energy - Energy Drink brand done for Advanced Asset Creation
This was the first brand concept assignment, where an energy drink was the focus. I was playing a lot of Geometry Dash at the time of making this, so it had a large influence on the overall presentation of the imagery.
Another asset to this objective could possibly be the original characters, designed, and fleshed out into something larger. This can be seen on the Featured Art page for the best results.
Lastly, the major elements of design from some other classes are seen within Personal Branding and the Graphic Design Principles class
Canepa Designs - The personal brand created, not jsut for Personal Branding, but for myself, carrying meaning with itÂ
Color Theory - One of the best examples of understanding color, though adding a tad too many color shades
Black and White - Done for the Graphic Design Principles class, utilizing negative space in black ant white
Assignment Information for Art and Graphic Design Principles
The pumpking assignment was the only one in this selection for the Vector Illustration class, and was done with Halloween in mind as a mask. The color theory aspect was a specific note for the class, as it was a good bit of practice.
The other 2 are from Graphic Design Principles, the color theory one being part of the first assignments in the class, and the Spiderverse one was put together for a texture assignment. These assignments show use of odd color schemes and patterns within art in a creatie way.
The ability to do this can be seen in the brand designs. The whole point of these assignments were to garner an audience with a concept. There was thought put into these projects that go into being designed to invoke feelings and emotions in people, regardless of its current state.
There are two brands that come to mind when thinking of this. In some respects, the Wingman brand, as well as the concept of Canepa Designs had variation and color swatches for testing, as well as creating cohesiveness.Â
Wingman - Clothing Brand design for Advanced Asset Creation that was created for cohesiveness in mind.
Canepa Designs - This is a concept done for Personal Branding which has a visible logo on the Photoshop and Illustrator page. It is the oldest logo design that I have created, and has been developed since high school.
This objective can also be seen in the style that is exemplified in most of the featured art pieces. The general sticker look around the initial character designs is a choice that keeps work looking consistent, even if the style may not be.
Other works can be seen on the site that show the same sticker outline.
2D and 3D assets are a big part of the game design classes, and there are definitely more 2D projects than there are 3D.Â
For 3D, the 3D models page shows everything that was worked on within every class for the subject.
The best example that comes to mind is from Modeling Characters and Vehicles and Game Art and Animation, with the human sculpt.
2D was done for any of the platformer game assets as well as some concept art.
The platformer games in question are not featured on this site, but are worth mentioning. The projects come from Game Art and Animation Fundamentals, as well as some bits of Production Studio.
Concept Art wise, the Concept Art class was helpful, to bgin with. This is where the Cyberpunk Environment concept piece comes in, as well as the Godzilla one. These were done as environment concept art pieces for a midterm and a final.
The audio in the Animatic video is gone for the music, unfortunately, due to copyright related reasons.
Character design and brand design are the most popular items on the site and are one of the major points when looking through it.
Tori - Done as an original character.
Lyla - Done as an original character.
Dash - Done as an original character.
Redd - Done as an original character.
Continuing with more brand design, the behance page will show off more than just the logos, and a much more constructed theming to each brand within their own respects. Some are simple, and some are more detailed than others.
Milkish Shakes - Food Truck assignment for Advanced Asset Creation
Heat - Fragrance Brand concept done for Advanced Asset Creation
Wingman - Clothing brand assignment done for Advanced Asset Creation
Pizza Rink - Restaurant concept done for Advanced Asset Creation
Lume - Tech brand done for Advanced Asset Creation
Demon Energy - Energy Drink brand done for Advanced Asset Creation
The quality in each of these items shows, as there were many years put into learning the tools, as well as generally being able to follow the correct design process for the brands and original character designs. Because they were done, mostly for fun, they are done based on feelings and emotions. Sometimes it can be different aspects of personality that show through each character and concept.
The big tools that were required for these courses, or ones that were able to produce these types of work were as listed below.
Photoshop - This was used within all of my art classes, whether it was drawing, compilations, game design, or concept art.
Illustrator - This program was used heavily within the Graphic Design Principles, Digital Asset Creation, Game Art and Animation Fundamentals class, Personal Branding, Advnaced Asset Creation, Vector Illustration and Production Studio.
Blender - This was used outside of classes.
Max - This was used mainly in Modeling Characters and Vehicles class, as well as the Introduction to Game Art and Animation.
Maya - This was used for the Modeling Characters and Vehicles class, as well as the Introduction to Game Art and Animation.
Animate - This program was used for animatics within the Storyboarding class.
These tools are used to create works that are meaningful and of high quality. Everything was possible to do with the high amount of performance required and skill for some programs.

Student Innovation Project - Project designed to innovate within the advertising field in a fun and interactive way
This project is a culmination of every class at UAT, rolled into one representative project of what each individual student learned and how they are willing to give something new with their education. For me, personally, I created a teaser trailer advertisement to promote the idea of a game that allows people to interact with something, while learning about artificial intelligence. This was in an effort to spread awareness of how destructive AI can be and how it could be used ethically instead.
