NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of one of the most thrilling musicals out there. The cast is wonderful, such a great show and songs. Andy is wonderful here and really captured the character.

First seen Off-Broadway in 2017, the critically acclaimed School Girls; Or, the African Mean Girls Play was remounted by MCC Theater last fall, where it once again extended its engagement. NOTES: Great HD capture of this great new ALW show. There is a 5 minute blackout during the scene after the opening song, due to late seating issues. The cast is phenomenal and Alex gives a sensational performance. High energy show with great songs and is so much fun! The last 11 minutes (which is the finale) ARE here, but from a different performance as someone was taking *multiple* flash pictures with their iphone in the row and was scolded and babysat those 11 minutes. NOTES: A gorgeous production of this rarely produced classic, and each of the cast is absolutely perfect in their roles. CAST: Brian d'Arcy James (Shrek), Sutton Foster (Princess Fiona), Christopher Sieber (Lord Farquaad), Chester Gregory (Donkey), John Tartaglia (Pinocchio/Magic Mirror/Dragon Puppeteer), Kecia Lewis-Evans (Mama Bear/Dragonette)

NOTES: First Performance of the Pre-Broadway run. A rare capture due to the fact the show ran 2 hours and 34 minutes, cuts are nearly inevitable. Includes three already cut songs, "I Could Get Used to This", "The Line-Up Reprise #2", and "Gonna Build a Wall", so I'm told. Beautiful capture with no obstructions. A very fun show, a top notch cast and memorable songs, sure to play many years on Broadway. A+

NOTES: Excellent HD capture of the show from early previews. The cast was sensational and some great production numbers. This show ran long, so there are sure to be cuts made.

NOTES: Some heads at bottom of the screen in wide shots but don't distract from anything and are shot around nicely. Much has changed from the show from this date, so it's a rare look at the show mid-changes.

Shuffle Along, or, the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed - Broadway - June 24, 2016

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Audra McDonald (Lottie Gee), Brian Stokes Mitchell (F.E. NOTES: A great capture of the frozen version of the show. A very nice capture overall with a few short blackouts. There are two blackouts during the scenes between Honeysuckle Time and Swing Along and another during the New York Here We Come dance number; each blackout is one-minute long. There are also a few quick dropouts in each act. There is one head on the right that blocks the actors’ legs, but it’s worked around when necessary, and it gets much better as the show goes on.

CAST: Rob McClure (Nick Bottom), John Cariani (Nigel Bottom), Christian Borle (Shakespeare), Heidi Blickenstaff (Bea), Catherine Brunell (u/s Portia), Brad Oscar (Nostradamus), David Beach (Brother Jeremiah), Andre Ward (Minstrel/Snug)

NOTES: With a mix of original cast and new faces, there are great performances all around. Nicely captured just a couple quick dropouts. There are some heads at the bottom of the screen that regularly block the actors’ feet, but they are worked around as much as possible, and generally don’t affect the main action. There is also some occasional washout, especially in wider shots. It’s filmed in 16:9, with a mix of wides, mediums, and close-ups. The sound is excellent. Includes curtain call and playbill scans.

NOTES: Excellent HD capture of the final Broadway cast. Adam Pascal joined the cast as Shakespeare for the final 7 weeks on Broadway. Everything is captured nicely and the cast was still giving their all! Some minor washouts and the audio sounds like it is from the big theatre it was performed in.

NOTES: The full show is captured with a brief blackout during No Life and a minute afterward, up until the end of Putting It Together in which the video becomes just audio. This production is one of the most unique experiences I've had in a while, and I'm very lucky to have been able to capture such an anomaly of a production in such a unique space. It's fantastically intimate which often leads to the actors being a couple feet away from the master, getting some impressive shots. The production was mounted by Chillina Kennedy's theatre company with ten days of rehearsal time and features some remarkable performances, very creative staging in a non-theatrical space and some great orchestrations. CAST: Heidi Blickenstaff (Heidi), Hunter Bell (Hunter), Jeff Bowen (Jeff), Larry Pressgrove (Larry), Susan Blackwell (Susan)

NOTES: Cute little show about making it to Broadway. Heidi was my favorite part of the show. There were some very funny parts to the show, especially if you are a theater buff. There are about 10 mins of total blackouts, which is mostly a chunk in within the first 13 minutes. Depsite that, a nice capture and the audience was very into the show. A-
