NOTES: Highlights: meaning 100% audio is there, but was very hard to film, so I'd say 70% of the show is visually there. Camera wanders at times, but cast was Fabulous! B+

42nd Street - First UK Tour - 1991 (House-Cam's master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Bonnie Langford (Peggy Sawyer), Richard Cuerdan (Billy Lawlor)

NOTES: Note from Blvd-on-Sunset: This video has been widely mislabelled as "2006 UK Tour" for years and some traders are unaware of this. A show programme from the 1991 UK Tour confirms this. Recorded through the House camera with some static at bottom of screen, and some generational loss. B+

42nd Street - Broadway Revival - April 21, 2001 (Preview)

CAST: Kate Levering (Peggy Sawyer), Michael Cumpsty (Julian Marsh), Beth Leavel (s/b Dorothy Brock), David Elder (Billy Lawlor), Jonathan Freeman (Bert Barry), Mary Testa (Maggie Jones), Michael Arnold (Andy Lee), Ericka Hunter

NOTES: Preview. Filmed from balcony and a lot of closeups and mediums. Clear audio, but a little static (barely noticeable). A lot of traders mis-identify Dorothy as Christine Ebersole but she sported a blonde wig in her run whereas the Dorothy in this has a brunette wig and looks more like Beth Leavel. Similarly Maggie Jones in this video is Mary Testa, you can tell from her face and build. A-

9 to 5: The Musical - Broadway - September 6, 2009 (Closing Night) (juniper47's master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Allison Janney (Violet Newstead), Megan Hilty (Doralee Rhodes), Stephanie J Block (Judy Bernly), Kathy Fitzgerald (Roz Keith), Marc Kudisch (Franklin Hart, Jr.), Andy Karl (Joe), Charlie Pollock (Dwayne), Dan Cooney (Dick), Van Hughes (Josh), Ioana Alfonso (Maria), Jeremy Davis (Bob Enright), Jill Abramovitz (Kathy), Lisa Howard (Missy), Michael X Martin (Tinsworthy), Karen Murphy (Margaret), Tory Ross (Daphne), Maia Nkenge Wilson (Anita), Autumn Guzzardi, Brandi Wooten, Herman Payne, Jessica Lea Patty, Justin Bohon, Michael Mindlin, Paul Castree, Spencer Liff, Wayne Schroder

NOTES: Final performance! Filmed in 16:9 widescreen. Few obstructions. Only in the wide shots when there are two heads on either side of the frame, but filmer does his/her best to shoot around them. External audio fed into video from MD recorder, so audio is very clear. A mix of close-ups and wider shots when multiple people were on stage to see their interactions. This was a gut-wrenchingly sad performance. Most of the cast members were in tears at some point or another during the show. In particular, Stephanie was sobbing through "I Just Might" and Allison started sobbing at the end of "One of the Boys". A few minor ad-libs and mishaps. One being when Allison pulled out a tape measure during the urinals bit of "One of the Boys". The cast was sad but they were clearly trying to have the times of their lives and go out with a bang. And they fed off the audience energy which was insane and very supportive.

An Act of God - Broadway - July 24, 2016 (SunsetBlvd79's master)

FORMAT: VOB (with smalls) (SD)

CAST: Sean Hayes (God), James Gleason (Michael), David Josefsberg (Gabriel)

NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of the Broadway Revival, with Sean as God for the return engagement and current jokes. Some great adlibs when latecomers take nearly 2 minutes getting into their seats. Also when he puts the phone in the goblet and misses, then references Patti Lupone! A+

NOTES: Really beautiful shot in an intimate space. Lots of zooms, but a good amount of wider shots too with a very limited (almost nonexistent) amount of heads. The lighting in this theater really liked my camera and I know the show almost “by heart” so I think I followed the action as well as possible. My battery died during the last song, but it starts at the very beginning with only one drop out during dialogue.

Video is HD but is a bit fuzzy, with dark parts (which can be often) it can be quite blocky. Occasional washout, but overall a good video. Edited by the master to be a widescreen video instead of a vertical cell phone video. Audio is OK for the setting.

Beautiful: The Carole King Musical - Second National Tour - October 19, 2019 (myroadofgoodintentions's master)

NOTES: Video is a brilliant capture, lots of zooms and wide shots. There is a high focus on Kennedy throughout with lots of great shots of her brilliant facials during her numbers. There were quite a few technical difficulties with this performance. When Gerry sat on the credenza it nearly collapsed under him and he commented, "I'm just going to stand" and Kennedy broke character and started laughing. Later the hospital bed did not come out so Carole and Gerry stood next to each other talking.

Beetlejuice - Broadway - March, 2019 (Preview) (StarCuffedJeans's master)

FORMAT: MP4 (HD)

CAST: Alex Brightman (Beetlejuice), Sophia Anne Caruso (Lydia Deetz), Kerry Butler (Barbara Maitland), Rob McClure (Adam Maitland), Adam Dannheisser (Charles Deetz), Leslie Kritzer (Delia Deetz/Miss Argentina), Kelvin Moon Loh (Otho), Danny Rutigliano (Maxie Dean), Jill Abramovitz (Maxie Dean/Juno)

NOTES: Previews! This is probably my most obstructed bootleg ever. When I could get zooms they’re pretty (and I’m really trying my hardest for both Sophia and Kerry - “Dead Mom” looks GREAT and is really consistent), but I would probably consider this more like highlights with how many heads keep popping up. I don’t love it, but you can keep up with what is happening and see the WILD effects they have going on here...which is good enough for now. Video starts at “Ready, Set, Not Yet” and is complete from there. And honestly this video (and this show) is worth it just for “Dead Mom.”

Beetlejuice - Broadway - July 27, 2019 (Matinee) (Medium Observation's master)

NOTES: Full HD stageshot filmed from the front orchestra! This is fairly better than the other stageshot, including less heads, more facial features, but one major head that's sometimes filmed around whenever the master isn't wandering downward. Great video quality overall and it includes full Act One and Act Two starting at Beetlejuice's entrance after Girl Scout through Curtain Call!

CAST: Kelli O’Hara (Francesca), Steven Pasquale (Robert), Hunter Foster (Bud), Michael X Martin (Charlie), Cass Morgan (Marge), Caitlin Kinnunen (Carolyn), Derek Klena (Michael), Whitney Bashor (Marian/Chiara)

NOTES: Beautiful HD capture of this moving musical. Kelli and Steven do a divine job in the roles and the music is wonderfully written and performed. Really a nice piece of Theatre! A There is a short blackout in the beginning of Act 1 and 2. Sometimes during Act 1 there is a head that blocks the right side of the stage and a bar on the left during the wide shots, but over all it's worked around pretty well and doesn't hide most of the action! There's significantly less blocking in Act 2.

The Bridges of Madison County - First National Tour - March 19, 2016 (Matinee) (kradder32's master)

FORMAT: VOB (no smalls) (SD) | TRADER'S NOTES: IF YOU HAVE THE SMALLS, MESSAGE ME. I would trade unfairly for them.

CAST: Elizabeth Stanley (Francesca), Andrew Samonsky (Robert), Cullen R Titmas (Bud), David Hess (Charlie), Mary Callanan (Marge), Caitlin Houlahan (Carolyn), John Campione (Michael), Katie Klaus (Marian/Chiara)

NOTES: A nice capture of the show. I was seated on an aisle and had to be careful. This capture, as with all my future captures, was run through an image stabilizer so it is not as shaky as previous captures, with that said it is not as steady as I would like, given my seat location. There are no blackouts and the action is well followed. Includes curtain call and BCEFA speech by Mary Callanan. Audio is near perfect. Overall Rating: B
