You can read more about each group below.
Objectives:
Seek opportunities to more broadly share what the network does and our value to the community (aka grow our “brand” awareness and messaging)
Learn from current members their thoughts and feedback on CANDYD (e.g., why did they join CANDYD, is the network meeting their needs, etc.); identify opportunities to strengthen our work and service
Consider opportunities to build structures that could enhance the network’s communications and outreach
Objectives:
Seek opportunities to strengthen the ways in which the network can support data use and measurement for its members related to such areas as program quality, youth engagement, youth outcomes, and long-term growth. Understand how measurement can be a “powerful tool for setting goals, understanding and communicating the value of (our) work, and supporting continuous improvement of both the system and the programs within it” (Putting Data to Work for Young People, Every Hour Counts).
Identify opportunities to share research and best practices related to data and measurement in out of school time spaces (e.g., resource sharing, speaker presentations, workshops); build the network’s shared understanding of why data use is important and ways that we can invest in measurement as a community
Begin to discuss if there might be opportunities for the network to work toward common measures of system-, program-, and youth-level outcomes that we hope to achieve in support of young people in the greater Charlottesville community
