Abortion, termination, miscarriage, feticide. Call it what you want to it’s a choice and it’s ours. For years we have succumbed to the mistreatment of decisions when it comes to our own bodies. Rape, violate, assault, maltreat, abuse, those are some synonyms for rape. Those are choices women do not have when it comes to their bodies. So tell me why anyone feels that they could have a say on what victims do in cases like these. Women have been oppressed for years with people not victims trying to decide what is right and wrong in this category. We thought back and forth about writing on this topic seeing as there are so many people who think abortion are for the evil and weak.
Think about how many years women had to fight for their rights to even vote. 1920 Was the year that we were able to vote. 1973 Was the year that Roe vs Wade extended women’s decision on abortion to the third trimester of pregnancy. Can you imagine not knowing you were pregnant at first and being too far along to be able to terminate an unwanted pregnancy in the face of rape or incest. Not every woman is regular on their cycle and when they are irregular and drugged how could they know. Now let me not get everyone’s panties in a bunch that’s not what I want to do. Just understand that being born a woman did not always give you rights In China having a girl wasn’t in your interest. Being in a royal family and having a girl to not carry the name is not ideal. Being a girl isn’t the smoothest walk but who is comparing.
We are making a video for the women who feel victimized who feel out of place and maybe ashamed of making decisions which by law are their own. Sadness falls over the woman walking up to the clinic knowing that she doesn’t want to be there feeling so small and insignificant and questioning why she is even there. The people outside hold up signs making her feel ashamed shouting out vulgar things as she walked ups isn’t something for the faint heart. Did you know that before you get an abortion they make you listen to your baby’s heartbeat? There are so many things women go through emotionally, mentally, physically that is not seen on the outside of our bodies. Walking down the street you could not pick out the person who has been raped, abused, or had an abortion.
In conclusion, not to be transparent just real, women need rights. I am not saying every woman going into an abortion clinic should have rights to an abortion, but who are we to judge. Why is it that certain parties like the Republicans can decide whether this is right or wrong for a woman. These decisions never come easy and are so often misunderstood. I hope that this video can explain the choice that is abortion. We can’t tell you how to feel about a topic that is so controversial, but maybe after this video we can shed some much needed light on the decision that is abortion. It’s not an easy one for any woman, but what we don’t get to always see it that there is so much more pain that follows than the actual act.
