Looking to eat out? As a reminder, you can not sit in a restaurant to eat, but you can order food to your home for pick up! Here is the list of open restaurants in and around Canastota.
*If you notice that any of these have changed, please let us know so we can keep this list updated! Email Jenn.Farwell@canastota.com with changes
During this hard time, we want to brighten up our downtown! Create your best artwork - make it colorful, make it uplifting, make it fun! Then our Canastota Recreation Commission will pick up your art or you can drop your art off in the entrance to the Police Department. Our wonderful downtown businesses will hang this art in their storefront windows.
What next? Take a walk and check out all of the beautiful work that our community members of all ages created!
While practicing social distancing, go for a walk! Be sure to be solitaire or with only members from your own household to maintain social distances, but get out and get some fresh air. It is important to still leave your home. If you live in a community with a lot of walkers, get engaged with your walkers by brightening their day!
Grab some chalk and chalk your walk! Brighten the walks for those walking through the Village. Put a positive message on your driveway that people can read and feel inspired by as they walk. The brightened walks will incentivize more to walk and will encourage members of our community who may be feeling down!
This is more like a scavenger hunt! Place a rainbow in your window - spread some joy! Then as kids are walking with their families, they can look and try to spot as many as they can!
