This Privacy Policy describes how Techtenstein ("we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Canada Citizenship Test mobile application (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
The App does not require you to create an account. Any quiz progress, mock-test scores, achievements, bookmarks, and streak data are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to our servers.
When you use the App, the following information may be collected automatically:
Device information: device model, operating system version, language, region, and screen size.
Usage data: app sessions, features used, crash reports, and performance metrics.
Advertising identifier (AAID): used by advertising partners to serve relevant ads and measure ad performance.
Network information: connection state used to determine whether ads, content updates, or in-app updates can be loaded.
Install referrer: information from the Google Play Install Referrer API to attribute installs to marketing campaigns.
INTERNET and ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE – to load ads, content updates, and check for app updates.
VIBRATE – to provide haptic feedback for in-app interactions.
POST_NOTIFICATIONS – to send the optional daily study reminder (Android 13+).
RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED – to re-schedule your daily reminder after the device restarts.
AD_ID – to allow Google AdMob and other ad partners to use the Advertising ID for personalized advertising (where consent is given).
We use the information collected to:
Provide, maintain, and improve the App and its features.
Display advertisements (including personalized ads where you have consented).
Measure ad performance and attribute installs to marketing campaigns.
Diagnose crashes, errors, and performance problems.
Send optional daily reminder notifications that you have enabled.

California residents may opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information used for cross-context behavioural advertising. You can do so through the consent form on first launch or from the App settings.
The App is not directed to children under the age of 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in the applicable jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us so we can delete it.
Data stored on your device remains until you uninstall the App or clear its storage. Aggregated analytics and advertising data are retained by our third-party providers in accordance with their respective retention policies.
We use commercially reasonable measures to protect information processed through the App. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Information processed by our third-party providers (such as Google) may be transferred to and stored on servers located outside your country of residence, including in the United States. These transfers are made in accordance with the providers' applicable safeguards.
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

Daily reminder notifications are optional. You can disable them at any time through the App settings or your device's system notification settings.
