Unlike the previous Angry Birds games, the stage is no longer flat, instead comprising several different planets, each of which has its own gravitational field that affects the trajectory of the birds after launch.[1] There is an aiming system that makes it easier to aim the birds. Some pigs are in space bubbles, and when the birds break them, they will freeze and smash unless they get into a gravity field. Like in Angry Birds Rio, Angry Birds Space features boss fights.

On March 8, 2012, new footage of Angry Birds Space, presented by NASA astronaut Donald Pettit on board the International Space Station, was released. The video shows that the game's stage is no longer flat, instead comprising several different planetoids, each of which has its own gravitational field that affects the trajectory of the birds after launch.[6] NASA states that such collaboration with Rovio Mobile may share the excitement of space with the Angry Birds community, educate users on NASA's programs, and create interactive educational experiences for the public.[7]

Angry Birds Space is the new edition of one of the most popular franchises in Android history, in which you will launch the most charismatic birds in the world of videogames all through out space and all that it entails.

The highlight of the game is that our beloved birds will be flying through space instead of through the air, and now you will have to be careful with the varying degrees of gravity and gravity fields in each level. Before launching the birds you will have to watch and be attentive to how they behave in the vacuum.

The Flock had never been so happy. It was a glorious summer's day, and the birds were taking a well-earned break. Smiling, Red slapped a cap on each of the egg's shells (just to protect them from the sun, you understand. The last thing he wanted was hard-boiled eggs.) There were no pigs to be seen and Red thought the nest was safe. He was wrong. High above their heads a huge, purple, swirling wormhole opened in the sky. Even Terence looked surprised. Well, he raised one eyebrow slightly, which was more movement than usual. Something came shooting out of the center of the space anomaly - something square. Something blue. Something not from Piggy Island. It was Ice Bird, a strange space creature who just wanted to protect his rare eggsteroid. At first Ice Bird gave the Flock a cool glare, thinking they wanted his unusual egg, but just as Red explained they were friends, an evil booming laugh came from the direction of the wormhole. Laughter wasn't all that came out of the rift in time and space. As the birds stared, slack-beaked, a giant mechanical claw whirled down from above. Opening its pincer wide, the robot arm slammed into the ground, yanking up the chunk of earth where the eggsteroid had landed. In a second it had gone back through the wormhole. Ice Bird didn't wait around. Loading himself into the Angry Birds' slingshot he fired himself back through the wormhole to rescue his eggsteroid. That's when Red noticed three caps floating down from the sky. The claw had snatched the Flock's eggs too! Feathers flying with fury, the Angry Birds launched themselves through the wormhole after the stolen eggs. When they'd made it through, after travelling halfway across the galaxy, the Angry Birds found that their space odyssey had changed them. They were still angry, but now they had amazing new superpowers. And the claw? Well, it was operated by a colony of pesky porkers, the Space Pigs. The Space Pigs should have been afraid of their new guests. Very afraid.

In Angry Birds Space, you'll be attacking structures on planets from space, using their gravity to get the perfect trajectory. This Angry birds requires more thought than previous games, and feels much fresher for that.

I would agree to you Renea that they should also try Plant vs Zombie. On the other hand I think that playing Angry birds is also a way to relieve stress from our body. Hope that I could also see the space needle personally.

That is such a cool picture. I started laughing in my office after I saw this and everyone else loved the picture too. I do play Angry Birds but I have not played the space version. Just out of curiosity does anyone still go on Farmville?

Last year, Rovio added two levels to Angry Birds Seasons with a space theme. One was a bonus level that was unlocked only after players found golden eggs, but the other, Level 1-17 of "Summer Pignic," featured an Apollo-style lunar module and lunar rover, as well as decreased gravity slowing the rate at which the birds fell to the ground.

Does someone know how to make a planet with orbital gravity exactlly like Angry Birds Space planet gravity?I want that the object will move around the planet only when it get into a field.I also want that the object will land on the ground after some rounds like angry birds space.A script will help me.

Edit: in the answer Fredric Schn send me a script but when the object land on planets, it doesn't stop to rotate aroud the planet. And how can i make the object to fall slowly to the planet and stay in the gravitation radius like at angry birds space?

"This collaboration began with a simple Twitter exchange about birds and pigs in space, and it has grown into a tremendous outreach and education opportunity," NASA's associate administrator for communications David Weaver told The Guardian.

Where oh where will those birds go next? In this version of Angry Birds you will need to understand the concept of gravity and how it will affect the birds as they fly out of your slingshot and into outerspace. The new Angry Birds Space game employs realistic gravity effects, HD graphics and the typical Angry Birds soundtrack. Gameplay is what you would expect, smooth and well suited for the BlackBerry PlayBook.

While I'm sure most of you reading this review have had the chance to play at least one of the Angry Birds games, there may still be a few of you who haven't, and that's no problem at all. The previous games in this series use the same very simple game controls, and Angry Birds Space is no different. Before each round the sling shot auto sets with one bird ready to go. Once you've got a bird it's quite simple, just hold your finger over the bird, slide it back and the slingshot will stretch. At this point you can also adjust the angle at which the bird will launch from. Okay, so you've got the bird pulled back and aimed where you want it, now just let go! Once you let go the bird will fly across space and hopefully hit those nasty pigs. If not try again and again until you succeed. Something you'll learn as you play the game is how to use the planets' gravitational pull in your favor.

The latest game to the Angry Birds breathes some new life into the what some thought was a fading franchise. Rovio did an amazing job working with NASA to ensure that they were creating accurate space physics and gravity reproduction. The gameplay was also a nice change, though a little hard to get used to off the bat. After a few levels I had birds flying with great accuracy.

I personally thought that the Angry Birds series was getting a little stale. They did introduce Rio but it was still the same concept, except they did change it up and put birds in cages and remove the pigs, but not enough to light the fire. Now with Space there has been some new life brought into the series. The introduction of gravity and making the gamer use it to get those nasty pigs was ingenious, and will definitely add to the addictive nature that is Angry Birds. As a side note I wanted to make sure to state that after playing this on The new iPad and then on my PlayBook, I feel safe when I say playing this on the 7" screen is a much more enjoyable experience.

The birds wake up in a prison of a large spaceship named the Chopper. They see a pig with some keys and decide on how to get them. They fake that they need medical attention and call the guard for help. The pig enters the cells to check the birds. Bad move. Before he could react, the pig is crushed by Terence. The birds use the keys to escape and fight their way through the Chopper using a makeshift slingshot that the pigs made. At the end, they encounter a gruff pig named the Wardam, piloting a makeshift spider-mech made from wood. After destroying the engines, the birds pop the Wardam, and find a prison cells with a familiar face to the flock (except Matilda), the Ice Bird. Ice Bird explains that King Pigs is attempting to use alien technology to find eggs across different planetary bodies and establish his piggy empire. After that, Ice Bird shows that the pigs have been attempting to make chemicals to help give the pigs the ability to breathe in space. The birds drink the potions and have their superpowers from the original game restored. Ice Bird then guides the Birds out of the Chopper to an important place; a place where King Pig has a base set up.

The flock reach a large tower standing atop of a jungle planet. It looks similar to the planets from Brass Hogs from the original ABS. They see pigs carrying alien eggs into the tower. The birds spend the first 10 levels getting through the jungle and defeating pig guards to breach the tower. They enter the tower and find a loading bay for pigships (pig spaceships) to transport eggs. It was like a mineshaft. But for eggs. Halfway through the episode, they rescue a native to the planet. A purple-pinkish bird-like creature simply named Alien Bird. Alien Bird joins the flock so she can rescue her unborn children from the pigs. At the top of the tower, they find a pig in charge of the egg-sweeping operation, the Eggscavatork. The Eggscavatork uses a crude egg catching helicopter armed with vacuums and a large net. The birds shoot down the copter and defeat the Eggscavatork, where afterwards, he drops a blueprint which tells of an important location to the pigs. The birds set off to find this location. ff782bc1db
