How do I install Evernote on my Kindle Fire HD8 tablet? I went to the Google Play Store (play.google.com) and selected Evernote. This page has a button to [Install on more devices], but no button to install on the current device.

I go to apkmirror, download the version of the App that I want then install. However, your Fire device needs to have the equivalent of Android 9 or better and you have to be willing to install from a third party device.

Before undertaking this process you may wish to search for and read general advice about sideloading applications onto Android devices. This allows you to install apps that aren't available through the standard app store. For the Amazon Fire devices this is the Amazon Appstore.

Once you feel confident to install an apk file onto your device then within apkmirror search for Evernote and download the most recent apk onto your Fire device which MUST be running Android 9 or better. Then install the Evernote apk.

Do the people in charge of APKMirror have any idea how bad it's user interface is? I looked at the page multiple times over the past few weeks and I could not see the search box. Not until I was looking at it with my wife looking over my shoulder and she pointed it out.

It seems to work fine. Make sure you select the option that allows you to stay in for 30 days. You probably don't want to close that tab when you're done using the program. My guess is that it takes a long time to fire back up if you do.

This sounds like an issue related to the version of Android that Amazon runs on the Fire tablet, specifically the video Codec within the Android OS version. Not sure what you can really do about that.

When I read a prior comment about it being amazon using older version of android I thought that made sense. but now I am thinking that should not be it. If the app is in the amazon library then it should work.

I have the exact same issue of no video but good audio on my Fire Tablet HD 10 (13th Generation) using version 1.1.4 of the Tablo app. I downloaded the app from the Amazon app store. Tablo Firmware version is 2.2.50. Tablo works fine on TVs but not on Tablet.

Has anyone had success with installing Teams on a Kindle Fire tablet? I have free access to Teams through UW-Milwaukee, my employer. But Campus IT and Amazon have been unhelpful. I'd welcome any suggestions. Thanks!

@J_Walker A little late to the game, but yes you can install Teams on a Fire. You can download the APK from Microsoft. You then put the APK over on the Fire via a C cable. You will have to allow installs from unknown sources. Also, Teams will pop a message that it needs Google Play to work, but it will work without it. Just can't update Teams via an app, would have to download the new APK again. (also of note, if you have Parental controls on, the Camera will not work in Teams). Make sure you get it from Microsoft. I don't always care for 3rd party APK sites.

If you install play store you can add teams this way (link below) then download teams (and other things like chrome etc , have done it on both my kids fire tablets - but in your adult profile not the kids ones. you can also go into your kids settings and enable certain websites to be on their profile , but this is a bit clunky

I just got a new Amazon Fire 10" 2021. I downloaded Teams and everything seems to work except I can't share my screen. The other options listed are 1/ Share a photo 2/ share a video 3/share a PowerPoint. It won't share a Word or Excel doc. When I try to share my screen I get a screen asking me to "allow this app to overlay other apps" but I can't turn the switch on.

If you download Google play store on your fire tablet, you should be able to install any app from the play store on your tablet. There are many tutorials on YouTube, just select the one that works for your Fire Tablet 10 and follow the instructions. I have done this 6+ times with no issues when following instructions correctly.

Google play does not support soundcore for fire tablets.

I call bull $hit. Are you just saying it will work or did you actually try?

I checked both Google and Amazon app store neither offer soundcore for my Amazon fire HD 10. So keep to what you know bud.

Did you even read the title of the post or have a soundcore device that needs this app to use the full features.

Telling people u can get an app on Google play, that is not available. Is not useful to someone looking for answers. Prove me wrong.

Has anyone successfully installed the new BluOS 4.0 software update on their Amazon Fire tablet? I have updated on my iPhone and this works perfectly but my Fire tablet shows no difference from the 'old' software screen format except the play queue that now only shows last played track (so things are slightly worse). Any ideas or is this update still waiting to be rolled out to Amazon fire tablets? Thanks

In speaking with our Quality Assurance Team and Business Development Team, due to changes and limitations in the Android operating system and requirements of the Android Kindle Fire not being able to run in HotSpot Mode, we can no longer compile or release a working BluOS App beyond the currently available BluOS 3.14 available in the Kindle Store.

Though the current 3.14 App will provide regular basic functionality such as Music Search and Browse along with Play/Pause, Playlist editing and Grouping, regrettably, we will not be able to add new features or Music Services nor the new 4.0 User Interface.

If Bluesound does not intend to make a BluOS app available for Amazon devices, then please remove the Amazon app download listing currently displayed on Bluesound websites (i.e. and ). This will save others the expense and inconvenience of mistakenly buying an Amazon device for this purpose. 152ee80cbc
