This very upsetting. All four tvs in our house use a firestick. Should have been made clear up front that this isn't supported. Now Ive spent 1.5 hrs waiting on chat only to get cut off, now holding on the phone for 30 min so far.

Well, in all fairness, they are pretty specific about the supported devices, and give details about each of them. They don't list support for the firesticks at all... only the Amazon branded tablets, excluding the first generation (first gen Roku are excluded as well):

Can You Download Spectrum Tv On Firestick

I'm considering changing from Fubo to spectrum TV choice. It will save $80 per month on streaming and get me TNT and NESN without requiring cable company login. Even if I don't drop Fubo, the bundled pricing means my bill won't change if I add the spectrum streaming.

One challenge to getting buyin from the rest of the family is the hardware, we have fire tvs or fire sticks for the current streaming. Spectrum and Amazon apparently don't like each other so the only way to get the app on a fire stick is to sideload it, otherwise I need to get 3 Roku devices ($39/ device reducing savings), or go with spectrums xumo device on 3 TVs ($60/device)

It's not the app itself that I'm concerned with, at least not any more than the other apps from Amazon. It was more the idea of downloading it from a 3rd party that isn't google, Amazon, or spectrum (the cable company).

Most people prefer to use the ADB to install or sideload 3rd-party apps while some users require to have a web browser instead. In that case, instead of using the long URL, you can simply click on the button provided below to download spectrum and then use the ADB to sideload it or the browser for installation.

I have an Amazon firestick on my network, which is managed by a router running OpenWRT 18.06.1 with the adblock package installed and activated. Recently, it has started reporting that it can't connect to the internet after a number of hours of connecting just fine.

So, it looks like the firestick decides it's not connected to the internet when it can't reach a service which is being blocked by adblock, and I need to whitelist the corresponding address. How can I work out which addresses I need to whitelist?

Yes, I believe so. My Amazon Fire Stick and FireTV do not work if the 5GHz selected channel isn't on 149 or higher. The devices seem to perform better on the 5GHz radio. What you want to do if force the RG to one of the upper channels. If you have a WiFi spectrum analyzer, there are free ones in Google Play store if you have access, look for best unoccupied channel.

so here is my problem. These customers of mine have spent a lot of money with me, they wanted the complete package of control4 , surround sound, networking, all engraved dimmer switches, cameras, distributed music everything in a new rack ,you get the point.... well we did everything they wanted and they are loving the look, the sounds ect... well then we get that dreaded phone call from an upset customer that they cannot control there spectrum cable box after only 2 days. So I went back and some commands worked and some did not. so i convinced them to go switch out there box that had a date on the back from 2018 that also said colorvision on it which after many hours of research i found who makes it and everything. so I had them swap it out for a new one. plus I told the homeowner to let them know at spectrum what we are trying to do and that your cable box will be on a rack in a network room that is not in the same area as the TV and using Control4 to control it. either IR or IP if they have a box that will do that. So they did and came back with a brand new one. The new one is the spectrum 210-H which is basically the same dam box but this time they gave them an IR extender. I already knew where to place my IR to! So i look up a driver and of course there are non for this box. so I said *uck it i will make my own using the control4 driver editor the basic one. So I used there factory remote and copied all of the commands and did everything I normally do when I have to make a driver using the remote. It worked great! I tried every command multiple times and finally, it was a done deal and the homeowners where happy again.

2 days later the phone rang again and it was them with the same problem. I go back and some of the commands stopped working. So I redid the driver and copied all the commands again and it worked fine again. Well this happed 4 more times and after 2 months of going back and forth and spectrum being 0 help, the customers make a comment that every integrator hates to hear. "If I knew that I would not be able to use control4 (or my Neeo Remote) to watch TV then I would have never even gotten Control4 or any of this". "I am having serious buyers remorse here , What can we do about this". I tried to explain how this really is a spectrum problem that we did explain from day 1 but give me a couple of days to do some more research and see what we can come up with.

Back to the problem. So now I have these customers, who have spent a lot of money, everything else in the project is working perfectly but you know customers, if 1 thing is not right out of 1000 things, your shit in there eyes. So now I have to figure out how to make this spectrum 210 DVR box work correctly and consistently work. Please help!

also one last note. Spectrum took there app off of Roku so thats a no go. Does spectrum have there app on Firestick? if thats the only way, but then again can you still get to the DVR recordings through the app? 2351a5e196
