Hey everybody! Was sad to see the retail apps of retroarch get banned, I've now loaded it onto the dev mode of my Xbox Series S. Everything is running fine, but I lost all my saves as they were located in a different folder for the retail version of retroarch. I really want to recover my saves one way or another!

@ItchyRobot Did you ever figure out a solution? I finally got the pause menu to work with the xbox one controller. If not, what worked for me was to change the Menu Toggle from the Auto (#10) to another controller button, I used #7. I couldn't find a way to delete the Auto (#10).

so ive followed step for step multiple times and still have three issues.

1. still no S/ drive data even after updating everything

2. I cant view the files on my pc everytime i do the \\Xbox/IP it just does nothing

3. i cant resolve either issue even though i just wiped all files off xbox and pc and restarted at square 1 other than buying the license again. can some please help lol.

There was a MS update that nuked the app last year, other than that they constantly tweak retroarch with updates but all my roms seem to work well enough so I see no need to delete (due to the takedowns) then update.

I've installed retroarch twice now with retail mode and installed all games to internal storage, problem is whenever retroarch updates, I've lost all my Configs and games. Now that I have everything installed on USB I just update load config file from USB. No more wasting hours setting everything up e24fc04721
