hey everyone. I was wondering if it is possible to watch netflix on my PC screen and have the audio broadcasted through my speakers that are on the other side of the room and are connected to a chromecast audio. that way I dont have to run a 3 meter AUX cord from my pc to my spakers. can't find the answer to this question anywhere online. help would be much appreciated!!

Hey there. I have a first gen chromecast that's working fine with everything besides Netflix. Thing keeps crashing and returning to the home screen without any warning during streaming. Anyone else having this problem?

I am casting from android tablet to chromecast and it is perfect UNTIL I try to control the video. Cant stop, go back , go fwd. It drives me nuts.

The movie keeps going on the tablet, or keeps going on the big screen. When it comes to the end of an episode I cant for the life of me stop it, 5 4. 3. 2. 1. and away we go with the next episode.

Not sure if anyone else is seeing issues with Chromecast lately but Netflix [UK] cannot detect my Chromecast either through a browser (tried IE, Chrome, FF) or through the mobile app. Works fine with all other chromecast supported apps.

It used to work fine. I'd play an episode and use my phone or tabled as remote. But in the last month or so every time I use Netflix my devices disconnect half way through an episode and reconnecting them sometimes works, but often it requires restarting both Netflix app and chromecast, which is a major PITA. I've tried everything I can think of, including reseting Chromcast, removing and reinstalling netflix app, and turning off the power saving settings on both devices. I'm 100% sure this is a Netflix app issue, simply because it's the only app that has this problem. Other chromecast apps work fine, including YT which stays connected. Also it's not a android version problem, as my S7 in on nougat, and my Tab S2 is on Marshmallow, and it happens on both devices. I've contacted netflix through chat but their advice to reinstall the app didn't change anything... Any ideas are welcome.

It will see it through the chromecast app, I can stream to it through youtube. BUt once I enter the netflix application and hit the chromecast button it does not see any chromecasts. Wierdly it does see a couple roku's and an xbox.

I've run into this exact weirdness on campus. Each of the past 5 chromecast setups were for someone using an iPhone and all 5 of them wouldn't work with Netflix, but Hulu, youtube, etc... everything else works. That and the Andriod Netflix for the same Chromecast works fine. Any chrome browser as well running netflix.

I editted my post until I could do some additional testing.. We just upgraded to ArubaOS 6.5.1.(4) from 6.4.3.(10) and IOS chromecast support has gotten worse. While I can still see the chromecast in Google Home, now I can't see it in YouTube where I could previously. I can cast from Chrome on MacOS and Windows, and Android can access it with all Apps, but nothing now from IOS. Does anyone have an active TAC call open on this or should I pursue it?

I use google chromecast for casting tv apps on my tv, smart tv and no smart tv (lol). Since ios14 it will not remember the chromecast device on either tv. Two different models and capabilities. I constantly have to reboot the chromecast device when I want to cast an app to either tv. Anybody else have this issue??

SOLVED: I was having the same problem with a TV using chromecast. I found that unflagging the Private Address in the Wi-Fi settings solved the problem, as well as checking in Privacy-local network that the app was green.

It is not trouble with wifi. Chromecast not working visible on iPhone and iPad Pro anymore after iOS 14 Update. It is also not possible to reset it and make a new connection, because Bluetooth doesn't show the chromecast anymore.

Maybe over the holiday period with a little mood music, romantic lighting and a few bottles of red wine, chromecast and blockchain can hookup and beget a lovechild that bypasses and goes over the top of the traditional banking system.
