A one-year subscription is included when you purchase a new Navionics card. It offers daily chart updates and advanced features. All you have to do is activate your subscription through the Chart Installer. Older cards can be activated too, and this will allow you to access discounted subscription renewals.

Only Navionics customers can enjoy this unique benefit - the most current charts every time they go boating.

For the best experience with advanced features such as Dock-to-dock Route Guidance, it is required to have updated data on your card.

Never looked at getting one of the cards before, but recently purchased a helix 7 that can take a card like that. What do i gain with one of them over the standard maps already on my helix unit. Have the helix 7 g2si with the winter ice kit if that matters.

The built-in maps are commonly in 10-foot contours, sometimes 5-foot contours and are derived from DNR maps often done many years ago with a lead weight and surveyed positions on the ice. Modern map cards use satellite GPS positioning and sonar depth recording, with contours as precise as 1-foot intervals. They can make a world of difference in your positioning. Check the lake list on the Humminmbird website and see if the lakes you fish are listed and if they are high-definition maps. Navionics has an online web app you can view lakes before you buy. Lakemaster is in my opinion better than Navionics.

I purchased a new to me boat. It came with the Axiom 12 inch display running Lighthouse 3. I have Navionics subscription on my Android but I would like to have it on the boat as well. The system is flush mount and it looks like I have to take it out to access the chart card.

At the moment I paid 50% of the full price for a update which in Holland does not give me the newist buoys in te changing Waddenzee.

For my Iphone I bought the full west european charts for 19.95 Euro. That makes a difference of almost 100 euro.

Is there a possibility to use thes data for CF use?

I can write on CF with the navionics CF reader even on Navionics CF cards. So a hardware protection should be bybassed?

The Navionics maps in this collection come on SD cards. These cards can fit into any SD card slot, but they are designed to be inserted into the GPS systems that are commonly found on boats. If you already have a Navionics map suite installed on your GPS, all you'll need to do to set up your new map system is to remove the old card and insert the new one. If your GPS is brand-new, you may need to perform some setup functions before it effectively reads your Navionics SD card.

Determining which type of Navionics card is right for you depends mainly on the region where you'll be boating. While some of the maps from this company cover large swaths of water, these maps are generally less detailed than maps in the Platinum series, which show smaller areas in considerable and specific detail. You can find the right Navionics map for any body of water you'll sail over with just a simple search.

You can also go to an authorized dealer for an update or call the electronic chart company for an updated card. The most economical way to update your chart is through a subscription. For $59, for instance, C-MAP offers regular electronic chart updates throughout the year.

I have the plastic case WE826; actually no storage, too, but I also had it up using SD-card.

No problem using LEDE, but self-compiled image. Just did it again today for real hotspot project. Using coova-chilli as captive portal. e24fc04721
