I was wondering if this worked for you floridarv? I tried it with my 32" Vizio and it didn't work. I did some more research and was reading that the TV Input button on DirecTV remotes just do not work with Vizio TVs. Was this the case with you?

I did a lot of internet researching to figure this out and I was trying my best to find an answer more recent than 2008! Luckily, I was able to find the answers I needed to get all the functions working on my Directv remote. Now, I have the basic model of remote and receiver but I believe these codes are universal. For my 32" Vizio LCD I used the code 11758 to enable the TV WITHOUT the "TV Input" function. To enable that function, I had to use the same process to enable the tv with Select and Mute but the next code I input was 960. This enabled the TV input and I couldn't have been more relieved. For the life of me, I can no longer get my 4k ATV to control the volume of my vizio 50". The TV is maybe 10 years old and has worked fine with the ATV in the past, but recently, volume control just stopped working. I've tried the following:

-unplugged the ATV, let it sit, and then re-plug

-updated to latest iOS version
