I downloaded the program today onto my new computer running windows 10 and so far it is running perfectly. I have yet to see if it uploads ok, but I am confident it will. It does look a little different but I am used to seeing it on windows 8. I have used this program for about 15 years before they stopped supporting it.

After the first download I got the "Couldn't install programs - an unknown error occurred: Error 0x800c0006" message. I looked it up and apparently this problem has to do with a language difference between the program (which was the English version) and my Windows (Dutch). So I checked again and saw that I also could download the Dutch version, which I did.

After that, the installation went fine and Moviemaker is running perfectly. Thanks!

Maybe (likely) I haven't figured it out but it seems there are limitations. It cannot overlay a second audio section or fade video into another segment. The "old" windows movie maker could do miracles.

So after more than an hour of craziness and making my programs list garbage and being scared and seeing that Microsoft.com is a terrible website I haven't run Moviemaker and I haven't got the plus package

Guess we should start working on a list of things that need to be fixed w/ the web sites, WU, and with windows, and identify owners. Bill's frustration is not unreasonable.
